Hey guys, I put this on Gen7, so I figured I would put it here also:

Hey guys, this is going to be a work in progress, so I am sorry it wont be all done at once. I dont have the mirrors repainted yet, and its about a million degrees outside, so that and getting aggrivated make me only want to stay outside for a little bit each day. :D I figured I would start this now to show the progress through the process and also so I dont have to write it all at once.

Heres what I did today:

Open the back door, pop up the kick pannel. The reason I did this in the back is because its easier, for me at least, to get the back pannel off, and I have a lot of other wires in the front from leds and the alarm and such, so I picked the back.

Peel back the tape on the wire harness running to the back of the car, open up the loom.

Find the solid brown wire, and the red wire with the blue stripe. These are the turn signal wires. The brown is for the passenger side and the blue/red stripe is for the drivers side. I used wire taps even though I perfer to solder everything just because it made everything a lot easier and I felt there wasnt enough slack in the wire to easily be able to cut it, add another wire, and solder everything. I figure these wire taps should be fine for this application.

I can personally confirm that these are the correct wires because I took an led bulb I had, connected the power wire that I had just spliced into the stock wire, and then took another wire and ran it from the negative on the bulb to a grounding spot on the car, and my led bulb blinked with its correct corresponding side in unison with the front/back blinkers.

Tomorrow is running the wires into the doors, should be fun to do in the heat.

Heres some pics:

Look what I got today, Im going to try and finish the install tomorrow:

Ok, everything is done except for the LED and heated function, which I probably wont be hooking up anyway. LED blinkers are either tomorrow or Monday when I have time.

The power wires are a joke to hook up. It literally is a joke, I did it while chatting woith my friend and listening to the radio, it takes like 10 minutes each side.

Cut the stock harness off, and strip off the ends of all the wires. Peel back some electrical tape and cut off some of the wire loom to give yourself more room to work with.

Solder and heat shrink wrap everything!

Heres some pics of them on my car: (I feel like all my mods are usless till I get lowered :( )

Here is the wiring guide, it works perfect on my 2004, and it should be the same for all models 2003-2005 Sedans.

This is for the driver's side mirror

purple wire from mirror is for LED and connects to ground

pink wire from mirror connects to a positive source (i.e. signal lights, etc)

yellow/black stripe wire from driver side mirror connects to green/white stripe wire on stock plug

yellow/red stripe wire from driver side mirror connects to blue/black stripe wire on stock plug

yellow/white stripe wire from driver side mirror connects to blue/white stripe wire on stock plug

part of this is taken from Joe's previous post.

Here is the passenger side mirror wire diagram:

purple wire from mirror is for LED and connects to ground

pink wire from mirror connects to a positive source (i.e. signal lights, etc)

blue/black stripe wire from passenger side mirror connects to green/white stripe wire on stock plug

blue/green stripe wire from passenger side mirror connects to red/yellow stripe wire on stock plug

yellow/white stripe wire from passenger side mirror connects to white/red stripe wire on stock plug

The cars turn signal wires are as follows:
left signal wire is red with a bright blue stripe and the right signal wire is solid brown

Got this off V6P, thanks to the guy who posted it!

Thanks man, I got them from here : HondaAutomotiveParts.com

They were about $415 shipped, kind of a lot, but its a perfect fit and an OEM part.

verrry nice!!! that was my direction too, until i had the entire car repainted... now that the stocks are fully painted, i've lost the motivation to repaint another pair!!! since we've got the same color, feel free to "hand me down" when you're tired of them!!! hahaha...

Thanks man, where do you have pics of your car, I love our color! Hahaha I dont think ill be getting rid of these anytime soon so no hand me downs! I like these not only for the full paint matched, but also for the turn signal.

Great write up! I wish I had the funds to get the hybrid mirrors but anything that costs more than a tank of gas right now I consider a "luxury" item that I could do without.

Nevertheless, love the mirrors and love the write up!

Thanks Phoenix, I tried to do the write up as well as I could since I figured a lot of people who want this mirrors are going to need it.

oh yea..one thing evreyone should know is that im pretty damn sure the hybrid and the tsx mirrors are practically the same thing.....BUT........if you dont find your color in the hybrid colors, just go to the tsx, they have the other ones..at least for me....they didn't have alabaster silver so i looked at hte tsx and they had it..it's the same price too....even fi it was any different....the wire splicing is the same from what i've seen in different forums..

The Hybrids are a direct fit onto the sedan, and the base is paint matched instead of the black base of the TSX's.

I know I have about a million wires under my steering wheel, thats what you get with the Viper alarm and a million LED's.

Here are some pics, fishing the wire through the door is pretty self explanatory once you have everything off. The dirvers side, I drilled a hole in the door under the weather stripping since the harnesses plug in at the point where you would expect to put the wire through. You can come up with your own ideas for that or do what I did. Take a look at the pics and let me know what questions you guys have and ill be more then happy to answer them.

Nice job!
I drilled a hole in the harness that is in the driver's side door - there was just enough room for the new wires (the TSX mirror and new speaker wires).
Fishing for the wires on the passenger side was much easier after releasing the glove compartment (the same way when replacing the cabin filter).
I didn't cut any wires when installing my mirrors - tapped right into the factory wires - the wiring for both left and right turn signals is on the driver's side of the car.

What do you mean by tap ins?

majky - thanks bro. I didnt cut the wires in the stock harness for the turn signals, I just spliced into them. I cut the connectors off the mirros and the harness comming through the door. Its really not that big of a deal.
