Anybody knows how to bleed brake? What is the proper order? Is it RR, RL, FR, FL?

since nobody has posted yet.. my 6th gen manual shows FL-FR-RR-RL. your avatar looks like a sneak preview of a 7th and hopefully its the same procedure.

I always start at the wheel furthest away from the brakes master cylinder and work back to the one closest. That would be (location as if you are setting in the driver's seat) RR, RL, FR then FL. Making sure to top off the master cylinder after each wheel I bleed.

Yeah, I have a 7 gen...(should have mentionned it in the first post!). 05 Coupe V6 6-speed to be exact.

I still feel uncomfortable messing with the brakes... Can somebody write a little procedure to bleed the brakes? I have to learn how to do it...and I think it could be useful to others too.

Well if the Accord is anything like the TSX (LOL), that order would be wrong. The order on a TSX is FL, FR, RR, RL....

Right or wrong :paranoid:, I'm just "Old School" and that's the way my shop teacher taught me how to do it some 20+ years ago. But with that said, follow the directions that Honda gives you. They must have a reason for doing it that way, but I don't understant their logic behind it. :dunno:

Me too! I was taught to start with the farthest to clear all the old fluid first.

The Honda directions proceed clockwise from the first wheel. Maybe in an ABS system (that wasn't around when I took autoshop), it's not as important because of the way the fluid is routed to the lines.

Regardless, most sites still recommend the way I learned, so I'll stick with something that works.

ABS was practically non existent 20+ years ago...

"Most sites" would be wrong.
