Install:
i had 3 different diy's printed but the best one was this one: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/281873/5

reason prolly being that the 06-07 install (either that or the fact that his car was also an i4)

didnt even need to take off the windshield wipers as needed in other diy's

-----------

problems:

1) i lost one of the white clips from the underhood trim piece, heard it clunk all the way down the water drain area, then it started clanking around during test-drive, and then all of a sudden stopped (either fell out or got stuck somewhere)

what they look like:

2) one of the hoses touch the bar, not exactly sure what its for, or if it gets hot or not (forgot to check) so im not exactly sure if its harming anything, anyone know?

The Drive
Took a 10 minute test-drive. Car handles noticably better. Front end is nice and stiff, backend feels a little lose (sway bar coming in tomorrow).

gonna try drifting tomorrow lol :D

Hmmm..... interesting. Been thinking about doing the rear sway bar lately. Don't know why though :dunno: since I'm not an aggressive driver. I guess I'm just curious as to how much better the handling would be compared to the OE one.

You're getting the TL rear sway?

If you can, post a DIY.

I put an additional piece of rubber around that hose so it wouldn't chafe over time. Wait till you get the anti sway bar in. The combination really makes a positive difference.

its a water line coming from the throttle body i believe its not that big of a issue because at rest its just barely touching all that it would ever do is rock backwards (when you accelerate) give it a week or so if there appears to be damaged at all put a piece of ducktape at the wear spot

thanks for comments

i guess ill put some sort of black duct tape or something around the hose, i originally tried sliding the hose farther down, but it wouldnt budge

as far as posting a diy, it would be useless, since the one i linked in original post was great!

going to be getting the TL 17mm rear sway bar

I took care of this one by cutting about 1" off of the end of that hose. It just bothered me that it was rubbing on the bar. I think it's a vacuum line that goes to the power-break booster. Definitely not a coolant line as nothing came out of it when I took it off to trim it :) :dunno:

Hey, that's Trip's car domain page... I used that when I installed mine on my car, too.. It's very well written.

Ah, didn't see it since it's on page 4 of the link. Doh!

Where'd you buy the TL sway bar from and how much was it plus all the bushing and stuff?

AcuraOEMparts.com

total was like 46.59 (including shipping and everything)

you can get it cheaper if you reuse the bolts off your old sway, but for 2 bucks more, why not get new bolts just in case

That's cheap. Think I might have to pull the trigger on that...... but only after I get my Stumpjumper and macbook pro. Damn you for tempting me. :D j/k

Did you get the 17mm or 20mm sway bar?

If I do it, I'm gonna go with the 17mm.

Local honda dealer for 102 (109 after taxes)

but you can get it online for like 80+ shipping (i think ganely honda from v6p is the one who quoted me that, not sure)

The V6MT strut bar actually increases understeer so you should be ok with a 20mm rear sway bar. But since you have an I4, the 17mm bar might be better for you if you want absolutely no oversteer.

I have the 20mm rear sway bar and love it!

If you look in my sig, you'll also notice I have the 27mm front sway bar. But when I was installing these items, I installed the V6 Strut brace first, then drove the car for a few months. Then I installed the 20mm rear and drove the car for a few weeks. Then I installed the 27mm front sway bar. I done it in stages so that I could feel the differances that each add on did.

With the 20mm sway bar on (without the new front sway bar), the rear of the car felt more planted.

I'd recommend getting the 20mm rear sway bar. But at least get the 17mm. But if you do go with the 17mm, I feel that you may still upgrade it later to the 20mm. As the potential understeer that has been mentioned, in my opinion, isn't an issue.
