Since I've never really posted any decent pictures of my car I went out today and snapped a few. I'm no photographer so they aren't great, but I figured that since I washed and sealed my car a couple of days ago that this would be a good time.

Here are a couple of pictures of my USA Spec install.

I ran the first cable from the rear of my nav system to the glovebox where the usa spec unit sits. I then ran the cable that connects to the ipod from the usa spec unit in the glovebox through a hole in the cubby above the "not-an-ashtray" where the ipod sits. I will probably fasten the usa spec unit to either an upper or lower surface in the glovebox just to keep it in place, but I think it's a good place for it since I really don't use my glovebox for anything but holding my manual and registration.

These last pictures are of my filthy engine bay and my K&N typhoon install. I did not put the CAI pipe on it yet. I'll probably do that later tonight and use it that way for a couple of days. Though, I will most likely put it back into sri mode for an extra measure of safety.

whyd you put the sock on the air filter?

whyd you put the sock on the air filter?

Because I have an irrational fear of hydrolock and realistically it won't restrict airflow, so there is no reason not to put it on. K&N calls it a "drycharger" as it's SUPPOSED to repel water, in reality it's just a little nylon sleeve and moisture will be sucked through it pretty easily. Kind of pointless imo, but why not? Plus, I hate the look of exposed air filters.

I do really like the silverstars. The color looks nice with most colors that the accords come in. Mine are a little dinged up around the lugs due to the fact that the shop that mounted my tires was sloppy with their air tools and stripped some paint off. I think my favorite alternative to the silverstars are the powdercoated TL wheels that a couple people have.

I probably won't do a ton more. I definately want to transplant a TL LSD at some point when I get some extra cash, as well as some sound deadening and maybe a catback. Other than that I'm pretty much done w/ the mods I think.

Ah, the damage on the silverstars must have been unbearable. I love my rims :) The powder coated TL rims are very nice though, even though I prefer the TL A-Spec ones instead.

Great looking car, Graphite Pearl was my first choice last time I was in the market.

Is sealing the car just another way of saying a polish and wax job?

and yes, just meant i used a sealant instead of a wax.

Yah, Accordio's 6spd is a mean machine. I thought he took those wheels off though. I get LSD envy every time I see his signature. I'm hoping to add one soon after my warranty is up and I get the itch to do some reckless spending. Though he'll still have a lot more toys, hah.

I have on question though accordio, did you get the borla mufflers and then have the catback done at a muffler shop, or did you get the full borla catback for the 03-05's and bolt it on. For some reason it doesn't seem like many companies make a catback for the 03-05's that also list the product as fitting the 06-07's as well. It also appears that some companies are r&d'ing exhaust for the 06-07's seperately from the 03-05's. I wasn't aware there was any difference in the stock exhaust between the 03-05's and the 06-07's. I'd like to get a borla at some point (maybe when my factory warranty is up) because it really looks almost stock and isn't hugely loud like most of the others are.

Wow, both chanke4252 and Accordio with the hot looking graphite pearl coupes. God I love the color, I am SO happy that I was able to find one in that color. After I bought my car the Sales Manager told me there were only three 6-speed Accord coupes in the entire state of Texas when I bought mine, a cool blue, white, and my graphite pearl. Thankfully I wasn't forced to choose the blue or the white (no offense to owners of those colors!).

A graphite pearl coupe after a fresh wash and wax on a sunny day is pure sex. Plus with the mods you Accordio have they look even better. Makin me a little jealous. Might have to look into that HFP suspension upgrade and the wheels when I get my $2,000 quarterly bonus at the end of this month... :naughty:

I didn't want a white one at the time that I bought my car, but after seeing some of the pictures of white coupes after they have been tinted and stuff, they look REALLY nice (plus they'd be really cool for those of you who live in oven-like temperatures). The only thing I wouldn't like would be the paint as I believe there is no seperate clearcoat added to the white (I think it's mixed in), though I could be wrong.

I really like the HFP suspension, I got mine for about $550. I can try to find the site I ordered it from if you are interested. It only lowers it an inch, but the difference in appearance is night and day given that that's about all the wheel gap needs to be lessened to make it look pretty normal (and of course it handles a little bit better, but not as much as some of the non-honda stuff). You also don't really have to worry about plowing into hills and speed bumps as much. Though, if you go this route (or any other route really), DEFINATELY add a beefier rear stabilizer bar from the TL if you haven't done so already. It is one of the cheapest and most satisfying mods you can do. There's a couple threads on it around here somewhere.

I mainly bought the wheels so I'd have be able to put my snow tires on the oem rims. They weren't crazy expensive, but a cheaper alternative would be a set of takeoffs from the TL's (they look amazing powdercoated). I really like the 6spd wheels a lot and would have been happy with those as long as I owned the vehicle had I need needed another set of tires for mountain driving in the winter.

Here are some pictures of the interior that I took today. I haven't really done anything to it but added some pedals from Ultimatepedals.com, added the oem dash metallic trim, and added a momo short-anatomic shift knob (my favorite). The knob is much more comfortable to hold than the 6spd knob, and takes probably 3/4" off of the overall height of the shifter, but it is noticeably lower quality (not cheap feeling though) than the honda knobs.

Yep, ultimate pedals. Kind of expensive, but the alternatives kind of sucked. There are a few ebay pedals out now that I probably would have gotten instead. Not a big deal regardless, it's not like it's exactly a king's ransom. Though, I still don't have a deadpedal, but I really don't know if I care enough to get one.

Thanks for the info on the borla. How do you like it?

Those are the exact rims I want..since I saw them in real life at the dealer. Photos dont do them justice.

That metallic trim interior looks great. I may get that. Do you think that will go well with my Black interior?? How much for that set anyway?"

The Borla sounds pretty good. Not loud at all with a decent growl. Should be a factory exhaust. I've bought other pedals before and these Ultimates by far have been the best ones yet.

My interior is black as well, though I have the fake carbon fiber inserts around the shifter, over the not-an-ashtray, over the cubby, and across the door panels due to mine being a 6spd. But even w/o those it will add a lot to the look of your interior and keep things from looking so bland in certain areas. Though, the trim kit is way expensive for what it actually is, a few plastic trim pieces (big ripoff). The interior trim kit is 175.00 at hondaautomotiveparts.com. I got it because I apparently like to waste too much money on overpriced oem accessories (I do).

It includes the trim around the two outer vents, the trim across the glovebox, down the sides of the center stack and shifter area, across the areas beside the steering wheel, and the area below the climate controls. I think that the other kits look kind of bad in person, especially the door trim pieces and piece that covers the cubby, though you can get the parts that come w/ a metallic finish from the factory like what is offered in some of the automatic trims that look significantly better. Ordering these parts individually instead of getting the accessory kit amounts to about the same cost anyway, maybe less depending on where you get the parts from. It's still too expensive for what you are really adding, but some of us get the itch.

Accordio, the only thing I don't like about the ultimatepedals ones is that they don't extend the gas pedal to the left on the bottom for easier heel/toe shifting. My size 11 foot isn't big enough to properly heel/toe lacking that, so I've stopped trying and just shift before or after the turn now. Not like you NEED to heel/toe anyway, it's just fun. They are nicely machined pedals though, much more down-to-business looking than most of the others.

Looks great! Black interiors are always classy. I love my gray but black looks great. The shift knob and the pedals are a very nice touch.

I would appreciate if you could tell me where you got the HFP suspension. That price is steal. I would be more than happy with a 1" drop. I think that's the perfect amount, I don't like the super low drops that look ghetto to me. As far as handling getting better, not as much a concern as eliminating the ride height. The car handles fine for my needs, so any improvement is just icing on the cake.

Yah, I like black, but it looked kind of incomplete w/o the trim kit. It seems that on the top of the line coupes that a complete trim kit of some sort would come standard. I would have liked to see a complete carbon fiber kit, though that might look tacky as carbon fiber often can. Your grey looks a lot better due to the contrast of the black on the upper part of the dash and the grey on the lower. I probably wouldn't even bother w/ the trim kit if I had a grey interior like that.

Looking at the parts sites I usually order from, I remember that I got the suspension on sale from college hills, but they are selling it for 625 now. Though, H and A accessories is selling it for 600 which isn't bad considering what some of the other dealerships sell them for, and it's not too much more than I paid a few months ago. The suspension is only sold for the 03-05's since the 06's got slightly more aggressive shocks, but as you can see given that a number of people have them on the 06-07's, they will fit just the same. One thing you might consider depending upon how far your camber is out is getting a camber kit, though some people report different camber #'s than others after a hfp, pro-kit, and h-tech drop so it's kind of a wait and see thing. I have had the ingalls kit for about a year w/o any problems.

Here's the link to the H and A page...

Here's a link to the College Hills Honda page which has a couple of pictures and is the next lowest price...

Be sure to keep us updated and let us know if you have any concerns or questions that we can answer. I always like to see hfp'd coupes. I've only seen one other on the road, but it wasn't a 6spd.

ok, time to almost revive my car pictures thread. I just installed a TL shift knob, which was a lot of work for a knob given that the boot isn't a direct swap. Anyway, snapped a couple of pictures...
