When I call to request a quote, they will either call me back 4 times a day, or not return my call at all.
I checked with a few dealers to see if they had any remaining 2007 EX Accord sedans with the Manual transmission. One of them replied in 2 minutes with a quote. Nobody else even bothered calling to say they didn't have any.:dunno:
If they have what you want, they will be your best friend until you buy it. Otherwise, they don't want anything to do with ya.

True, they are in the biz to sell cars not make friends.
Sadly, customer service is not that common these days. so a call back when they can't do anything for you is not going to happen.
In all reality a no call is the equivalant of a "sorry we have nothing call".
Kinda like when you go out on a 1st date and you call a few days later and dont get a return call.. same as "i'm not interested"..

Emailing is the way to go. They usually respond pretty quickly, though you may not get what your asking for. Just be persistent.

yeah, if the dealer's website doesn't really show an inventory, I just drop an email with a phony phone number, so they can't call. I learned that lesson a while ago (5 voice messages a day from salesperson)

bwahahaha. This dealer is clearly smoking crack.
I have your recent inquiry for your 2007 Honda Accord 2.4 EX w/Leather/Navi (M5).
Your Internet price is ONLY $22,799**
**Destination, fees and dealer options if any are additional. Prices include any dealer cash
Furthermore, I don't think you can get navigation on an EX-L four cylinder.

oh damn. that's cool. Then I guess the price wasn't as bad as I thought after all.
Still, I don't need all that equipment. For $23,000 I'd be going with a V6 6MT, or a used TL

Emailing does net a lot of responses, although like 80% of them are garbage. Most of the time when I have emailed a dealerships asking if they have something in stock and what price they could give me, they say "we can offer you X on a brand new X, come on down and we'll talk about it". I then emailed again asking them if they have it in stock, usually I get some more bs, but eventually the end result was that they didn't even have the car in stock and were just trying to get me to come down to the dealership to sell me something else. Kind of annoying. A simple yes/no about their stock would have been much more helpful, and wouldn't have made me write them off as dipshits that I will never buy a car from.
