(message I got from my prince today)

Keven the assistant parts manager was driving the fork lift when he ran into this car in the drive. The customer was standing next to it when he hit it. She just started crying. I don't blame her. This would suck.

That sucks. Looks like its only a trunk lid and rear window fix and it'll be good as new.

Who knows.... there's been worse done for no punishment. It just depends on whether he's on the boss' good list at the time.:dunno:

Someone crunches a car about 6 times per year or so. Normally it's "lot lizzards". Once a bicycle ran into a car. As long as they own up to it, it's not too bad. Once they guy tried to say "it was like that..." Everyone knew he was lying! He finally admitted to it & got fired. The boss hates liars! (he's the only one allowed to do that!)

It's a very busy dealer. It's got over a dozen bays, plus the smog rack & alignment rack. The "express" is separate.

They will have it fixed & pay the whole thing. They'll also put her in a rental. They are good about that part! So they get a point for that.:)

I would think as a good measure they should throw in a spoiler or something. Even though is sucks that is happened in the first place, accidents happen.

I mean, there'll be no fighting about any of it. Ones here (on this forum) have had that problem. This dealer is great about THAT. :yes:

From the rest of the story the one that was driving the fork lift was lucky that he didn't hurt anyone. The car's battery was being checked with the owner & a service writer. So getting pounded in the rear could've sent it forward enough to hurt them!

The Boss stayed in his office away from sight & laughed. (this wasn't one of HIS guys... he's under the general manager) I don't think this asst. manager is liked by him. :paranoid:

Our dealer had to replace the door trim on my dads accord once because someone opened the door up into a wall. :nuts:

He got free oil changes for life though! - Too bad the car is no longer with us.

Maybe she can get them to give her a free 06-07 conversion, hah. Though, I think I might cry too (or vomit) if someone did that to my car in front of me. Though, they'll obviously fix it, and hopefully she will get a free loaner while it is being repaired.
