Oregon is great for tax free goods, mountains and beer. Also, alot of my relatives live there and I was born in Portland so I might be slightly biased.

Yes, Eugene is the home of the University of Oregon. It is quite the college town. The campus is beautiful. What's the name of your friend's band?
