Well this weekend, we got rid of the 94 Accord Coupe. She had her problems but we got them fixed. She was a good car. She wore the Honda name proud on her hood. She weathered the test of time and still got us to where we needed to be. Her brother (our 98 Accord v6) misses her dearly. I would just like to thank all of you that helped me take care of her. Thank you.
We still have our 98 Accord V6 so I will still be sniffing around this site for all the great advice and insight.
Now I know everyone is wondering what we go to replace her. PLEASE don't kill me for this, I am still in a state of denial for trading her, but we got a Nissan Altima. The car is swift and looks nice. Cannot believe I said that.
So now our Nissan Xterra has a sister (which he is still getting used to sharing the parking space, just when I had him used to the Accord Coupe, we pull this number) and our Accord V6 is probably wondering when we are going to determine the same fate for him.
But anyways, thank you all for the support and help you gave me in keeping that car running and I look forward to the support for the 98 as well. Have a great day.

i can't stand to be in one car for too long. so i don't blame you for getting rid of your 94. pulse it was an older car, and probably had its fair share of problems to come.
I plan on getting a used mk4 r32 golf when i get out of collage:yes: but i will probably end up keeping the accord as my back up car:nuts:you can't own a VW without a back up car, or truck.:lmao: i know i used my truck plenty when i had my VW.:paranoid:

Hey! If the Altima was right for you then that's the car to buy. it has come a long way and is very competitive with the Accord now.

Everyone who is loyal to Honda that I know seems to have that one car where they went off to the right instead of taking the same path again. Most come back to Honda/Acura at some point, and the others come back the very next vehicle. I think my Mom is about to be one of those 'leavers that turn into come backers'. My Dad left Honda for Volvo; But I think he's sold on them. 123k miles of less than 2grand in repairs/mait combined is something to brag about IMO. So I'm happy he found a shoe that fits!

You all make a good point. I have driven the Altima about 50 miles since this weekend and do have to admit the 4cly is peppy, even with the AC on and four passengers. The Accord would bog down with the AC on and would be even worse if there was more than two people riding. I really like the design on the altima, and since we already had the Xterra I was very familiar with the product line.
You know Nissan is a sleeping giant. Everyone that I take to says Honda and Toyota are knowing for their reliability and fuel economy but I rarely heard anything about Nissan. But the truth be told it is just as good but there is not alot of follows as compared to Honda or Toyota. If you ever get a chance take a Nissan for a spin and see what it can do.
No the true test will be running the car against my 98 Accord V6. Yeah the Accord has more Horses but is also somewhat heavier. I will keep you all posted on the ride quality of the Altima.

I think the altimas are a nice blend of style, technology, comfort, horsepower, and affordability.
But the option packages don't come cheap. The NAV package is something like 5-6k, i think last time i checked.
That said, it's my #2 choice behind another accord. Given the right deal and color, I think i'd jump.

I've owned an 03 Maxima SE 6spd and an 04 G35 6spd and Nissan bought them both under goodwill in 6 months of owning them. I like the new Altima coupe but going through 2 junk Nissan's I have a hard time considering one.
