I just googled "hardwire radar" and a bunch of links popped up, but basically
you need a 12v source for your radar, since it looks like you have an EX-L, you can prolly tap into a 12v source from your mirror that way you can have a wire coming down right from there to the radar and mount it there
if u want to use your "hardwire kit" that probably means that its a connector to connect to the fuse box, but im unsure exactly what it is, how about you give a discription, post a link, or post some pictures of it and we can assist you farther
also note past Drive Accord threads such as: http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6662
i also recommend http://www.accessafuse.com/ if you decide to wire it to the fuse box, makes like much easier
I hardwired an Escort 8500 X50 to my '04 a couple of months ago and it turned out great.
There's a great pictorial on V6P (http://www.v6performance.net/forums/showthread.php?t=44371). I also used a mount (http://www.countryjoycrafts.com/350Z/escortmount.htm) that attaches to my rearview mirror. Check out pictures of the mount (http://www.radardetector.net/viewtopic.php?p=254614&highlight=#254614) in some guy's Mazda.

Not to be a Negative Nancy (I said it), but you'll be pissing off everyone else who owns a radar detector with a Cobra. Cobras, in general, leak like no other and give anyone else in range with a decent detector huge false readings rendering their units relatively ineffective while you are in the area with your detector on. Bel makes some really good detectors that don't cost as much as some of the more pricey mainstream units. The Vector 995 has really good detection ratings rivaling some of the 400-500 dollar units. Of course you don't have to spend that much to get a detector that will give you the bare minimum, but the general rule of thumb is that Cobra makes garbage (in terms of both detection as well as leaks).
As far as hardwiring goes, I've heard that there is some wiring above that is used for the optional autodim mirror that you can tap into that will come on with the radio and all that, though I'm not sure as I haven't cracked open that little compartment yet, though I think I'm going to do that within a month or two.

i used my radio fuse, i don't even have to turn my radar detector on and off, because that fuse dose not get power without the key on.

I got the Bel v965 which has the same range as the 995. I've found 2 areas that hv speed traps behind signs on the highway pretty handy.
