View Full Version : Wing Spoiler or Lid Spoiler - 4dr Sedan

I'm undecided on which to get for the Rear trunk. Either the Wing Spoiler or the deck lid spoiler. Wife thinks the lid spoiler looks better on the 4dr sedan. I think the wing spoiler is sportier but they both look nice. So what does everyone else think?

Need an option for no spoiler - that's what I decided after considering the look of the 2 different styles.

Welcome spongebob!

The wing IS a sportier look....which is why we got it. It's all a matter of your personal taste.... Who's gonna be the primary driver? Who got to make the other decisions on it? The deck ones look great on the more subtle colors..... The brighter colors seem more sporty & the wing style works nicely!:)

i'd normally agree with pairallel on this one and say none, BUT i think the 7th gen sedan looks better with one-it somehow makes the back look better. probably the lid one in my opinion. :D

(i got yelled at by my best friend for not getting a spoiler on my 04 coupe, but oh well, my car, not hers! if she wants to make my car payments, i'll go get a spoiler added! :blah: )

I voted deck lid, I like the subtlety of the look and think it is complementary to the overall profile.

I don't normally go for spoilers myself. However IMO the 7th gen Accord has a short and fat butt and really needs some dressing up to hide that fact. Some days I prefer the wing, some days the lid. Wife and I sort of switch cars so we sort of both have to agree on what to get.

i agree the sedan needs something in the 7th gen... and i have seen pics where the spoilers seem to do the trick. ;)

luckily i don't think the coupe has the same issue. i actually fell "in love" with the backside of the 7th gen coupes sans the spoiler and that's why i traded my 03 civic in on an 04 accord! :D

I have the deck-lid spoiler on mine. I think it looks alot better than the wing spoiler...that belongs on the coupe. I think the deck-lid flows nicely with the lines and gives it the extra touch. Anyways...I have pics of my car... http://www.cardomain.com/id/bigw34

i think the deck lid spoilers look better on the sedans and the wing spoilers look better on the coupes.

I picked up an OEM deck lid spoiler at ebay for about $210 shipped. I kind of agree that the lid looks better on the sedan and the wing maybe for the coupe.

I hope that was for a painted one...I only paid 120 shipped for mine, but that was unpainted...cost for paint brought it right to 200 though.

Yeah it's a painted one. It's a Honda OEM spoiler sold by a HOnda dealer on ebay. Comes with the new springs as well, though I'm not sure if I'll install these. If I do I might have to buy the spring removal tool as well :(
