View Full Version : Finally, Pictures Of My Ride!
So I've owned the car now for a few months just never took the time to upload photos. Well, I finally got off my lazy butt and took some pictures while my chick is at work. Nothing special about it, just like everyone else's 6-speed coupe, the only difference being it's mine. Enjoy!

stevencrosbie 08-26-2007, 12:38 PM I love seeing pictures of that 6MT shifter. Makes me smile!
Good lookin' car!
2006AS 08-26-2007, 02:10 PM Nice car...I am beginning to regret not holding out for the V6 6-speed combo in the sedan. I got such a good deal on my car because it was a leftover that I just couldn't pass it up. Yesterday I saw a black/black V6 6-speed sedan and I was drooling. Funny thing is I'm not even a fan of black cars.

I want the factory strut bar (like yours) in my car now! lol

Hey man if you got a good deal that's all that matters. I got lucky finding my car. Obviously you know how difficult it is finding a 6-speed. But when I decided a 6-speed coupe was the right car for me I just started calling every Honda dealership in my area, none of them had a 6-speed coupe. I found one dealership that had a 6-speed silver sedan but I didn't want a sedan. Then finally I found a dealership that had just gotten a 6-speed coupe a week before I called. Originally I wanted a black interior but after getting advice from the forum members here decided that I better move now and would probably regret not buying the car because of the gray interior. Thank God they talked sense into me because now I love the gray interior and would not want black. And the dealership took off about $8K off the price of the car because they were so desperate to sell it. Apparently no one buys the 6-speeds because everyone wants an automatic, but their loss was my gain!
chanke4252 08-26-2007, 03:20 PM I think it's hard not to like the color due to the fact that the interior is so expertly laid out. Combine that with the fact that the overall drive, transmission, engine, and ergonomics are excellent and I can't imagine hating the color unless it were purple. I test drove a sapphire blue pearl 6mt before buying the one I currently have, and the interior was tan (which I didn't want), though I'm sure I would love it at this point simply due to everything else. I do think that there is something to be said about a lighter color and heat though. The summer I got it I could feel the heat from my car from 10 feet away, though I'm sure it still would have been worse if it were straight black despite the fact that graphite pearl is still pretty dark. I like my black interior despite the heat though, it makes me feel like batman :banana:.
I agree with you about being able to fall in love with the interior regardless of the color. The interior is such a wonderful place to be in this car you forget about the color of the seats. But it's very nice having a lighter color in this Texas heat. I know it makes a difference. My last car had a black interior with black leather seats and even with the A/C when the sun was blasting through the front window it was miserable. The gray leather is much cooler. Having window tint on my windows makes a big difference. When my car is not parked in a garage I also use a sun screen that blocks all of the sun from coming in the front glass.
chanke4252 08-27-2007, 12:17 AM This is pretty minor, but I'd be interested to know how the grey leather holds up over time, or rather how it looks in comparison to the black leather with an equivalent amount of care and cleaning. What I mean is i wonder whether or not the grey color will hide the natural creases and wrinkles that form in the leather any better than black. I've only seen a few other cars w/ leather stretched in a similar way to that of the hondas, and they were domestics, gm's to be specific, and the leather did not look very good at all after about 3 years. Though I'm not sure about the quality of leather used in either the Hondas or GM's. I don't think that the leather in our hondas is that great in comparison to what a lot of other companies use, but i'd hope it's better than what's in the pontiacs and chevys.
Is that pin striping on the outside of the clearcoat? I don't know about you, but I think it would look better w/o it and if it's on the outside it would be relatively simple to take off. I wish the dealers wouldn't add stuff to the cars when they take ownership of them.
Do you have any plans to lower it or add anything else to it?
Accordio 08-27-2007, 08:47 AM Nice..Gotta love the Graphite colour. We don't get to see other combinations in the Accord. In Canada they only offer black, red, silver, blue, and graphite on the coupe. Black is the only interior and no NAV. I probably would of took a white one if available, but I really like the graphite other then it showing scratches. I found that the 6spd added so much more to the Accord.

I could not imagine owning the car without a 6-speed. It totally makes the car for me. Especially with a shifter/clutch as nice as the one in the Accord.
