Went to the dealershlip today

Well, had to go and take a look and see what the talk is all about. I was immediately attacked by salespeople and then after telling them to leave me alone, I then was able to get in and see.
I was impressed. I did tell the guy to call me when he gets in a green v6 exl with nav.
Ya lets see how long that takes.:lmao:

They've either got one or one coming in at about 2 dozen dealers here. Sedan & AT. Of course, nothing in a coupe.:D You may get a call!!!:lmao:

I sat in the '08 sedan yesterday at my local dealership. My feelings:

-WAY bigger than I need both inside and out for sure and the size definitely took the sedan out of the running for me...the nose and length of the front end is is huge!
-Interior is okay, but I wasn't that impressed at all. The gauges are very boring for me, but a lot of that is because I have owned a '94 Accord for almost 10 years now and looked at that same setup day after day.
-Car looks MUCH better in person.
-The lighting of the dash is okay, and it looks like the coupe's blue will be a lot cooler looking.

I think Honda has put the Accord sedan into a whole new level and I could easily tell that they were going for a more specific (and older) demographic...time will tell if this is a good thing or not I guess. But it is definitely going to give other brands the chance to totally run away with the mid-size sedan class, though, especially if they continue to make their cars sleeker and sportier.

Overall, the '08 Accord sedan is definitely not the vehicle for me sadly and I was pretty disappointed by this. I will see what I think when the coupe comes out, and if I am not into that either, then I will be looking at other brands or used (or leftover new) 7th gen. Accords. One of the first times in a very long time that I am strongly considering stepping away from Honda/the Accord, though...food for thought.

*Oh and the bag my Sunday paper was in today has an awesome pic of the sedan on one side, coupe on the other. Damn does the coupe look NICE!

I passed by the showroom, but not there yet. I guess I might too drunk to see it. Definitly need get my guys out and head down there next week.

Yes definately worth a look. I really like how they designed the dash. Looks more Euro to me. :thmsup: Engine compartment seats and so on very little change.
Will give it another year before I throw myself out there, but the green looked pretty sharp:paranoid:

Had to drive to the airport on Sunday........passed Airport Honda on the way........had a minute to stop and look at the 08s........I agree w/ ESHBG - looks much better in person........did not get to sit inside/drive as dealership was closed........do not like the chrome door handles/window trim on EXL........I do hope the new Accord does well for Honda.

Nada for '08's here in Hawaii yet. Went on Saturday and nothing whatsoever. They had a big 2007 clearance sale, though.

It drives smaller than it looks, so don't base all of your decision on looking at in the parking lot.
