They look like the 06-07 V6 wheels with every 3rd spoke missing. Honda could've done much better with those wheels.

Don't you just hate it when dealers put their company name (Ed Napleton Honda) on cars (above the rear Accord badge in this case).

My new car isn't some moving billboard for your car business. WTF? :thumbsdow

I got my car as it was rolling off the truck, It was still in prep packaging when I told them I wanted it. I asked that no logos be added, and they didnt.

The upper portion of the glove box (just under the metal trim) looks out of place.. It just jumps out and really breaks the flow... I really think the mark was missed on the entire passengers side of the dash

Are you talking about the protruding part of the glove box near the top? That line continues on the driver's side of the dash too, if that's what you're referring to.

Yup, that's what I'm talking about.... Although it is present on the drivers side, due to the overall geometry and inclusion of the steering wheel on the drivers side it is not as much of a disturbance to my eyes.....

Like the sedan, I think the car is pretty nice until you get to this view:

Overall, it looks pretty nice and I think I am going to like this way more than the sedan. I don't like the steering wheel either, though.

Agreed. I think the backside of the Accord coupe really benefits from the discreet lip spoiler and dual exhaust tips. This finishes off the backside without overdoing it IMO. But as people are saying, the car looks better in person than in pictures...

190 horsepower 4-cylinder powerplant comes standard in the coupe. Previously rated at 200 hp, it would've surpassed the Civic Si powerplant. Did Honda reflash it down to 190 hp? Why?

4-cylinder coupes are being built late in September and should arrive at dealerships within days. V6 coupes will be built about a month later.

Coupe:
http://carad.ebayimg.com/i4/02/a/000/77/b6/35e8_4.JPG

Knobs vs. an up/down button for the temp and fan speed controls...I like the knobs WAY better!

It appears as if Honda has made a huge effort to separate the coupe and the sedan...I wonder what else is drastically different but not noticed at first glance?!?

that's only because it isn't an EX-L with the auto climate control. The EX cloth sedans have the dials, too.

LOL oh yeah, whoops, a big DUH on my part! :lmao::nuts:

But since we are on the subject, those up/down buttons look awfully cheap to me. The sedan I was in recently was an EX and didn't have them so I didn't get to test for myself...I wonder what they are like in function?

And I too was wondering on the 190 vs. 200 hp rating.

Yes, I do! Unless they want to pay me to advertise from them the stickers and decals come off. After they had my car detailed and drove it up to the front bay I did the walk around and noticed the big, ugly dealer plaque on the back of the car and told them that needed to be taken off before I drove off. They looked at me like "why would you want to do that?" I think most people are just ****ers and drive off with that crap on their car. The salesman said "well let me see if they have the time to do it" and I said "I'm not driving away with that plague on the car." Needless to say, they took it off.

As far as the coupe picture, figures it's an auto. :thumbsdow Manual transmissions are going the way of the dodo. I bet manual transmissions are going to be special order only.

I'll leave the dealer plate or sticker on for a month or so if I'm really happy with the dealership. This one is crooked. What does that say about the dealer themself? I like this Coupe better than the Sedan, but not better than my Gen7 Coupe. The trunk is vast and bland. The steering wheel is hideous. I don't hate it, it's a fat car. My standard is if would keep it if I won it in raffle or not. This car I'd keep if I won it, but would not spend my own cash on it.

My previous vehicles had the knobs for ac controls and I actually prefer the buttons on the 08 as far as functionality goes. But aesthetically, knobs do have a certain appeal although I dont think the ones pictured above look good.

Also, I thought last year's 4 cylinder had 166 hp or was that just the 4 cyliner sedan?:dunno:

The auto temp system is now dual zone. Note the up/down temp control on each side of the array. The temp setting appears on the screen as you adjust it. Kind of neat, actually, and it works well.

Those annoying stickers are pretty easy to remove with a hair dryer. I can remember years ago when they drilled holes to attach metal name plates, but that practice was stopped.

I like to think I contributed to ending hole drilling when I refused to take delivery of a new Volvo in 1968 after I had pre-instructed the dealer to leave off the name plate when it arrived. This was in writing in the sales contract. The manager tried to talk me out of it. Made some claim about cars with the name on the trunk get better service from the service department. After the damage, they even offered to fill the holes and repaint the trunk! Such gall! They lost the sale, as I felt that I was getting such an obvious line of b.s. I no longer wanted anything to do with them.

Of course my stubborness did not end the practice. It was ended when a few p.o.'d people sued dealers for damage when rust developed around the holes. Now that the car manufacturers warranty against rust, they prohibit the dealers from such trivial drilling.

Yeah?! What is that crap. I would make them take that off or no deal.

I don't know why anyone would put up with that on THEIR car.

Charge the dealer $1,000.00 for the advertising!

Luckily here in Cali the practice is to only do license plate holder frames and the big temp registration on the window. Simple fix for both...remove the frame and cut off the dealer name on the temp registration windsheild sticker.

I just got back from Leith Honda here in Raleigh & there's an '08 EX V6 5AT coupe on the lot... the dealership is closed today but there were six people gathered around it gawking at it when I was there (I was one of them, of course!)

The row of '08 Accord sedans looked like the there was a Blue-Light Special going on at Kmart... people were circling around and around the row in their cars while others were walking all around & in-between checking them out. It really looked like the place was open for business and having a busy day!

Where was the coupe parked? I cruised thru Leith around 1:30 this afternoon and didn't see one. :)

I haven't seen any at Leith, Auto Park, or Crown but I did get to drive one up at Boyd Honda in Oxford this weekend.

I have to disagree about the red, as I saw one in person and think the red makes it look much better than the other lighter colors, white and silver.

And I do think with this model a deck lid spoiler is a necessity, as it cleans the rear up a little.
