So when I bought my used Accord a couple weeks ago, I noticed the front tires have nearly new BF Goodrich Traction T/A tires on the stock wheels. Rears look like the OEM original Michelins that will need to be replaced fairly soon.

Should I just match up the rears with the front and buy 2 more BF Goodrich T/A tires, or go with a different set for the rear?

Thanks.

I had these in my 99 Accord, and I was fairly pleased with their performance, tread life was average, nothing special. Happy with traction in dry, rain, and snow!

Which Traction T/A's are they exactly? Tirerack lists 4 (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/bfg/bfg.jsp) different versions.

Both the Traction T/A Spec's and Traction T/A T's suck ass.... based on reviews.

The Traction T/A H's and Traction T/A V's are much better..... based on reviews also.

I have had them on two cars a corolla and my accord (diff speed ratings). I have been pleased so far with them on the accord so far. I had comp t/as on an 89 accord and 96 volvo and those lasted 70k and were awesome in the snow.. but overall im happy with the traction t/a. They do grip a LOT better than the michelins.

fwiw I used to read the tire survey, but honestly it seems like every tire on there people find a reason to bash.

well, I was wrong about needing to replace the rear michelins. 2 years later, everything has held up pretty well.

The front BFG Traction T/As have lasted well, despite being T rated.

I'm considering replacing all four tires soon with BFG Traction V rated tires. I have a feeling they will do better in the rain/snow than the more expensive stock Michelins. I just hope the ride is reasonably smooth and quiet on dry pavement.

You should try Yokohama YK520's!

Even though it's an old thread I'll post my comments anyway. I have BFG Traction T/A T rated tires on my 02 Accord. The tires have 52K on them and I've been happy with them. I've driven in all different kinds of driving conditions and the tires handled all of them well. As far as tire life, at my last oil change I was at 5/32nds all around.
