I just gutted out my Li case and stuffed it with a Q6600. Like night and day. And to think I replaced a E6600. The thing now runs folding @ home in the back ground in smp and runs like theres nothing to it. It can be at 100% load and smooth as butter.

The Q6600 runs 2.4 ghz stock. I ramped it up to 3.6 ghz. Its rock stable and ready to get it. Dropped the cpu on a Asus P5K Premium with 2 gig of corsair ram.

I can't wait until the new smaller die cpus come out and the steping's mature a little.

Nice.

Personally, I'm waiting for the Octium IV (http://www.octiumchip.com/) chip. :lmao:

I put the e6600 in a alum. Kingwin case that my old 2.0a P4 @ 2.8 ghz had lived in for years.

So the e6600 is on a Gigiabyte GA-P965-DQ6 rev.1 board. With 1 gig of Patriot DDR-667. For cooling Im using a old Exos with a Zalman block I adapted to the 775 socket. Its running 3.36 ghz right now with full load temps of 52c across the cores. It has a 160 gig WD drive with a Liteon DVD burner and floppy. Right now there is a old V3 pci in it. That will be upgraded to a GT7600 very soon.
