I have been lurking here for many months awaiting the release of the 08 Coupe. One of my customers owns a Honda dealership, long story short, after threatening to release pictures of him with farm animals, I own the first Coupe in Sacramento.

This car is a dream to drive and a real head turner. I have had it for just over a week and have just finally sat down to join and say hello.

If anyone has questions about this baby, let me know, I'll do my best to answer them.

I gathered from what he said that he "persuaded" the dealer to sell him the first Accord coupe that came in! Owning pictures of customers with farm animals can have benefits! :lmao:

As for the deal, I did not get it for free, it would have been nice though but the pictures I have of him were not that scandalous. :D I did receive the price that he would personally pay. I signed an NDA so that’s as close as I can get to revealing my price except to say the discount was phenomenal! :biggrin:

The color is Alabaster Silver with black interior and the VIN # is within the first 200 built so hopefully the robots were in a groove by then. It would have been nice to get one with Navi but even he did not have enough pull to get Honda to push one out ahead of their December wide release date. I would rather have a portable Navi anyway as I can then use it in the RV and wife’s car as well. (did that sound convincing?)

This baby hugs the road... I mean it's sticky. I attribute some of that to the low profile Michelins on 18" wheels, but the simple truth is that just because you are wearing Air Jordan’s doesn't make you a star BB player. The Coupe handles fantastically. I drove the sedan for about a week and can honestly say the Coupe is a driving matching. I wish I could have stomached a manual transmit ion, but this is my mobile office so I had o be semi-sensible and realistic.

Well, I will take some pix tonight after work and post as soon as I can figure out how, but before I go, I have to tell you about the face I saw yesterday. I was at a stop light in the left lane. I was about 10 cars back from the light and realized there was only 1 car in the right lane. I decided, as most would, that I would shift to the right lane when I finally noticed why there was such a gap. Sitting on my right, was a man in a new gen 7 coupe, still had temporary plates and everything. Probably got a heck of a deal but the look on his face was PRICELESS :naughty: Y'all know what I mean!!!

Welcome aboard, I was initially looking at a coupe, but local dealers 1) could not find one in my color choice w/nav and 2) they wouldn't budge on MSRP. So I bought a sedan they had on the lot optioned and color just as I wanted. I managed about an $850 discount. The OEM Nav w/Bluetooth is one of the best I have ever used.

The same dealer had 5 07 EX-L A5 coupes all priced in the $20XXX range. I'm guessing about a $5K discount off MSRP, but the 08's were what attracted my attention.

I just noticed that Honda doesn't offer a ASM 2008 Accord Coupe EX-L V6 with gray leather. That ****s! They need to resurrect that options for future owners.

Oh my. Thanks for the pics. I've been dying to see how well the 08 Coupe look in silver. The only reason why I don't have one right now is that I'm undecided among red, silver, and black. I've seen both red and black in person, but not the silver. I think that silver tends to show the body elements better, but black is just too classy and sexy, and then red is so striking just like the one on the Honda website.
