the accord, as it is known here in the west, has always been called the inpire in the japan. it just has some suddle differences

It's pretty nice, the subtle differences make it that much better.

Notice the extra chrome on the front grille slats. Just like the aftermarket solutions posted here earlier.

Looks better than the accord we have here:thmsup: I like the turn signals in the side mirrors, the lip spoiler, the tail lights and the chrome accents on the doors (different than what is on the accord here). I don't know if I like the chrome on the front grill though? It's definitely not the same as the chrome peices that people have posted on here though, the chrome on the inspire grill looks made for the car with different thickness is different spots on the grill. The peices others have on their car are nothing more than the 3m chrome strips, one thickness throughout. So, where can I get some inspire parts? LOL, I want those tailights:thmsup:

Is it just me or do those LED signal mirrors look like the ones on the 07-08 Acura TLs?

They're the same. I should know.

The TL and RL mirrors look really similar to me. Are they the same? Would it be possible to make the side mirrors from an inspire (or tl or rl) work on an accord? That would be a good future mod if it' possible. I guess the accord wouldn't have the wiring for the turn signals?

Looks good. I was surprised it didn't come out earlier.

Not quite "always". They have sold an upscale sedan (more espensive than the JDM Accord) called the Inspire for many years, but only recently (since gen 7 Accord) has it been based on the US Accord. We used to get an older Inspire here, rebadged as the Acura Vigor! (Remember that one? IMHO, that was about the worst name ever for a car model. What were they thinking?!!)

The Inspire has a number of luxury features that we don't get on the Accord. In addition to the alreay noted items, it has HID lights, and a plusher interior. It also has an upscale audio system. Costs more, too!

I wonder who's going to be the first person to retrofit TL mirrors onto their 8th gen Accord.

HIDs! but Plusher interior? Looks the same to me except for the plood, yuck (IMO of course)! What kind of audio system does the new inspire have?

If our Accord looked like that Inspire, I probably wouldn't have hesitated to buy one. Now, I think, I am waiting on a 2009 TL .... I sat in the 2008 TL and love the "extra" features! 2009 can only get better, right??? :lmao:

No rattles would definitely make it better.

I love the extra tail light peices. How hard would it be to get my hands on a set of those? That's one mod I think is worth my effort, I kinda like the chrome accents on the door handles too, just the right amount of chrome ( I think it's too much on the current v6 models). Do we typically see inspire parts in the american market or is it an order-only type deal from Japan? ...which I assume would mean $$$$:dunno:

For the taillight pieces you won't have to swap out the entire trunk lid. All you would need is just that portion. The top part can remain.

If you look a little closer at the trunk, it is very different from the USDM version so it won't be possible to just add the peices..The inset around the tag is wider, maybe made for the countries that have the longer tags? and the extra light peices are kind of cut into the trunk. Maybe the bottom part of the trunk can be removed and swapped out? I dunno and either way it looks like more work than I'd want to get into. Oh well...

I think it is just the lower trunk finishing piece. If you look at the "Rear Backup Camera" installation instructions, you can get an idea of what might be involved.

Those 2008 Accord Coupe EX-L V6 wheels look great on the sedan and those exhaust tips are very NICE.

Man, only if those tail lights were LED...

I agree, in those instructions you can clearly see, that the lower portion of the deck lide simply unbolts..

I must say I want those small lights, the car looks much better with them.

yep, i look at the trunk today and the inside is already shaped to have the light... so all you have to do is find the bottom part of the trunk and the lights.
