After watching the game I saw today I feel pretty confident that this is going
to be an extraordinary season for pats fans. The Steelers are looking good but I don't think they can match what the Patriots have been doing for the last 6 weeks.
Good luck Stiller!

Dear old Stiller is saying the same things all of the other football fans are - that the only reason the Pats do well is because Bellichek finds ways to cheat that aren't easily discovered. The claim is that he's done it his entire football coaching career, and this time he got "caught" - but that there are other things he's doing. Looking at some of the blog sites can really show just how other football markets think about the Patriot organization. :dunno:
But all anyone has to do is look at the way that Pats took apart the Cowboys for the last quarter or so yesterday, and you can see that all the cheating in the world wouldn't have made a difference once they get their drives going. Sour grapes is what I'd call the reaction.

sorry everyone.... but after the whole cheating incident came to fruition, you have to wonder and second guess everything that they have done to this point..... the 3 SB rings included....
if it were any other team, i would be holding the same opinion as i do the patsies.... :)

I can understand that Stiller hates NE. No problem there at all. But to say that NE (or the coach or certain players or the team as a whole) is "nothing" doesn't make sense to me.
Taping calls or not, you gotta play and win the game on the field. And that's what NE has done.
Sour grapes is what I'd call the reaction.
I'd have to agree. :D

I don't wonder or second guess. They won three, and that's that.

 The fact of the matter is he was fined for cheating.
Fined for cheating = guilty as charged. So why wouldnt football fans call a spade a spade?
Belittle it all you want, but in my eyes, and in the eyes of many other fans, the Pats will ALWAYS have an asterik next to those 3 SB wins...

Aseterik - you guys kill me. :lmao: One year fluke of winning? MAYBE I'd see your point. But 3 titles, and this year just running over everyone so far? Have you seen the individual stats on espn.go.com ? Fewest sacks, best completion percentage, most TD's, etc.
Oh, well - think what you want. Sure beats the Pat's of the 70's!!!

That is true! It wasn't pretty back then...actually, wasn't pretty for a long, long time.
I remember as a kid it was more exciting to watch the New England Tea Men at Foxboro than the Pats.

Really? I haven't seen them all, but of the games I've seen, I thought Dallas did pretty well. (Even in the Bills game - gotta give them credit for hanging on and coming back.) But that's just my thought on it...I could be wrong.
BTW, I like Dallas. I thought the Cowboys/49ers rivalry was something special.
I really enjoyed watching Dallas in the 90s - not so much because of Troy, Emmit and Micheal, but because of the O-Line. The O-Line was dominant, and had some truely great players - Nate, Eric, Larry and the rest.
I also liked the defense. Charles Haley was something else. Leon Lett was great too. That was some good football.

Belichick may have been "nothing " in Cleveland but he sure has been something here in Foxboro. Technically what he did IMO was not cheating. He broke a league rule. There is no rule against intercepting an opposing team's signals. The rule only forbids video tapping them. He got caught breaking that rule and payed the price for it.
Results speak for themselves. We'll see how the season plays out and we'll see what happens on Dec 9 when the 'stillers' come to town.

I must say it didn't seem like it made sense to fire a coach who went 14-2

And why do you think that rule exists? It give a competitive advantage or in other words, cheating.

you know what i think is real funny???
seeing that some "experts" picked cincy to win the AFC North this year..... they are 1-4, and cleveland beat them, along with baltimore this year so far. :stupid: :hic:
btw, the brownies are 3-3 i believe....

As a lifetime Miami Dolphins fan (since 1970) who is thoroughly disgusted at Miami's recent BONE-HEAD personnel moves, I am teetering on the brink of switching my allegiance to the Pats. After all, 1/2 of Miami's best players seem to have joined them too. :dunno:
