Hey guys, I havent been on here for a while, be it just that I was lazy or was actually busy with school. I still checked in from time to time, just havent been able to post. Heres a little update of things I have done, some of which I consider rare mods to the Accord:
Debadged and tinted tails:

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n78/Bluek24a4/IMG_2142.jpg
More LED's and OEM Xenon kitted fogs:

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n78/Bluek24a4/IMG_2118.jpg
Tinted windshield and color matched fog bezels:

So this is pretty much what I have been up to as of recently. Its hard with school now but im still modding!

not feeling the chrome??? :paranoid:weird....it really goes well with the dark blue color of your accord, the ACCORD door still thing looks cool lighted up.

Thanks again and thats my thinking too bro. I love the blue, black and chrome and how they go together. I have finally managed to get only those three colors on the outside of my car.

I'd have to honestly say I felt the same.
BUT.
To each his own, and with a little less bling bling I think it would look a lot better. The car looks really busy and sort of cheap looking to me. Idk. I find it a bit degrading to Accords as a whole.
That being said, whatever floats your boat man! It's very clean (cleanliness wise).

Most mods I like.... Some I dont... I reserve the right to change my opinion... on that note the car looks clean... like the wheels and the rear end... I like chrome, but not as much as you have... love the wheels, and can not wait to see it lowered :) Nice Ride :)
well its a matter of opinion, if you're like it that's all it matter. i love my 08 accord some people agree and some people hate it.
you did a great job mod all them LED.

this is my contribution in this thread...:puke:
You know, I think the point has been made. There is already one barf, I think we can leave it at that! The way I see it, and what I've learned from what people have said to me, and response to my response to others is to express your opinion positively and maturely.
putting an icon on that symbolizes throwing up (especially a second time) is just rude to me. we're all entitled to our freedom of opinion; it's the ability to do it politely that matters the most.
I'll sit down now.:lmao: I just can't stand rudeness! :furious:

Looking good. Car is almost complete Mike (just need the drop).
2 things:
how did you light up the pockets? led strips or leds shooting across from one side to the other?
and the only thing im disliking is the underglow, but as ive told you before, im pretty baised about that...
as far as being busy, the only things i could think of making it to "busy" would be the sunroof deflector (cause it creates a break in the roof line) and chrome pillars (cause it creates a break in your extremly dark windows
all in all, looks good...as for the negative comments above...those people think anything from stock (be it a pine tree hanging from the rear view mirror) is ugly...ignore them

Hey now, that's a sterotype.
It's one thing to simply dislike some of the chosen modifications as opposed to disliking it because it didn't come that way.

How can you claim to be polite and mature when it was you that quoted the first 'barf,' thus adding a second unneccessary 'barf' to this thread. Further, I would say that your first post is more rude by far, than the two who simply posted 'barf.'
Blue, your accord is one of the most unique cars on this board. Keep up the good work. Great detail job too!

the only thing i don't like is the sunroof wind thing.
other than that all the blue lights/leds/neon, is cool, but not cool for use on the road it is way to distracting.
the tint on the windshield is cool and i would love to do mine but it is probably illegal, and i drive way to much at night to do that.:paranoid:

cleaned up my own:thmsup:
i just can't stand it when people feel the need to "hate" on other peoples rides for no reason. ya there are somethings i don't like about some cars, but if the owner likes them that is what counts, as long as they are not messing up a nice car to much, like putting cheap suspension on it, or drilling holes in the trunk for a wall-mart spoiler, ect. if you don't have the money to mod it right then don't mod it. "go broke or go home"
darn i missed out the drama lol :D
with all that LED, i hope you add some in the trunk.

WOW, I cant say im not disappointed but I will say I am very suprised. I will answer the questions asked and this will probably be my last post on this forum. I dont expect everyone to like my car, but that was a little OD. I dont mind constructive criticism, I welcome it actually, but what I read was extremely immature and I want no part of it.
The chrome pillars go with the trim and I like how it breaks up the tint. I also think this is a regional thing as everyone here asks me where I got mine from or has them for all their other cars. The sunroof deflector is extremely functional and helps keep out the noise from the wind, and it adds to the tinted look of the car.
The lights in the doors are LED strips, I should have the back doors done as soon as I get some time.
The tinted windshield is illegal, I love it, and its really not bad at all during the night or in the rain.
I do not drive around with the underglow on, and I do have lights in the trunk.
Thanks for the compliment turp fan, accordtx1, and mnkyman and anyone else I forgot.

Mike, you've gotten my comments on your car in person. There are some mods that I like, and others that are just not my style.
I was quite skeptical of the tinted windshield, due to it's legal status and the fact that it does reduce visibility at night (important to an old fart like me with poor night vision). I will say, it does look good from the outside and is a cool visual exterior mod. It's not as dark at night as I assumed it would be after riding around in your car Friday night at 1 am.
I have to kinda agree with Sam about the sunroof deflector "breaking up" the roofline. I think it would look good if you removed it, but that's just my opinion. I'm not a fan of the window vent shade visor thingies either, so maybe that's why.
Like everyone else has said, you have done a good job of keeping it clean.

Way too much crap on the car.
All you need is a lip kit, drop and wheels, keep it clean.
Tinted windshield is just asking for it.

While I'm not into mods to the degree you are, I have to say that Accord looks very good.
While I'm not too thrilled with the chrome center pillars, I can understand you want to emphasize them. If there's one critique, it is this: the chrome piece you have on the rear 1/4 window makes no sense, design-wise. There is no reason to emphasize what is essentially an extraneous support. I think with that piece removed, the side window profile would be less busy and let the thin OEM chrome surround front to rear do it's job of drawing the eye to it's shape... without being broken up.
With that said, I'd give it an A.

You make it sound like it's easy. There are holes that will be left there and markings from where the spoiler was.
Great job as usual Mike. The tint in the front windows is very nice too bad I definitely can't do it here.

As all know I'm pretty conservative..... well, with my car..... I really like this one! Good job!!
It's it nice how most of us can disagree without being nasty? I'm sure we're smart enough to know that if we all liked the same thing we'd have identical cars, houses, etc.
I like the looks of all the chrome.... I wouldn't have it on mine simply because of the fingerprints. I like the looks of the tint, even in the front.....but the tickets here are too steep for me to go that route.
Please, don't take anything offensively, Bluek24a4. Some comments were made in a less mature way than others....but aren't forums all about points of view?
YOU like your car & that's what matters, right?
They've had a few choice comments on my car too.... only a handful likes my Honda chrome rims. Most think they should be bigger. I got what I wanted & it's my car.

Princess, I have no problem with peoples opinions, I posted pictures to get them. If everyone said "oh I like you car" theres no fun in that, and I dont get someone elses point of view. I post pics in hope of people seeing something that I dont.
The comments made by accordexlv6 and jli18 are more then welcomed. I do not agree with them, as I feel all three of the pillars on each side pull together the OEM trim around the windows. I also hate the lip spoiler, and like this one so much more, as well as dealing with the holes that freesole pointed out. Having a conversation like that is what forums are for. These are mature and sensible comments, and I am more then happy to discuss them. Immature things like smiley faces throwing up is just ignorant.
I know especially coming to this forum that many people probably wont like my car, to me this is a more conservative forum V6P or Gen7, and my car is by no means conservative. Im a 19 year old boy, and this is what 19 year old kids like to do to their cars. But to see stupid comments made like that is just unacceptable.
I dont like my car, I love it, and that is all that matters to me. Im not posting pics in hopes of everyone saying "oh my god, I love it." Is it nice if/when that happens? Yes, it is, but I also want some input as to what to do, get, or possibly change.
I have no problem with clashes in peoples opinions, just not in an immatue way.
The tints are awesome but it really comes down to your area and if youll get pulled over for them, and the chome and fingerprints really isnt that bad to deal with.

I don't know if it bothers you too much, but you should consider covering up the lower bumper opening with a black GrillCraft Mx-series lower grille. I think it will look great on your car.
I didn't like how much my radiator stood out so I got one installed on my car. Boy, what an improvement!
EDIT: Damn, I forgot you got a front tag. Nevermind, unless you won't mind using zip-ties.

personally, i don't like it. the roof spoiler is still overkill. too much chrome reminds me of the cheap hubcaps on walmart's shelves. (chrome in general reminds me of cheap metal and pickup truck bumpers, so i just don't understand the draw to adding more).
but those are my opinions of course and i am not one who likes any sort of drastic mods at all. i personally prefer to bring out the cars natural beauty with obsessive polishing! (fwiw, i'm the same with people-i hate plastic barbie dolls and think natural beauty is much better than caked on make up or plastic surgery! )
let us know how much it sets you back when you get pulled over for that windshield tint though! :paranoid:
that said, it is nice and shiny! good job there! i like and appreciate a nicely shined up vehicle! and props to you for realizing you won't get 100% of the population anywhere to agree with ya on the mods too!
completely off topic of the car~on the subject of the :puke: smiley, if it's so bad to use it, then why do we have it to post in the list of smileys? i've seen alot worse in smiley departments-none of which are available to just click on in da.... so, just curious about the smiley issues..... should it be removed from our options if it's so controversial and immature?
Bluek24a4
10-16-2007, 04:59 PM
From my own personal experience, chrome is very controversial, and it also comes down to the area you live. Chrome is pretty big in New York, ive had so many people coming up to me asking where I got either the pillars or my rims (which arent chrome) and my roof spoiler for that matter, which is also big here. Ive had people come up to me at my parking lot in school several times so far and even a few people at stop lights wave me to roll down my window so they can ask me where I got my parts from.
I dont understand how people associate chrome with being cheap.
Thanks for the mature input though man.
