Yes it has to be modified but now our 4 cylinder users can now have homelink just like the v6. I believe they might make a premodified version as well.

You will be prompted on which color and model. Just don't get the wrong one. The Navi models take the navi kit. I hope this helps.
how it is on the standard? does it have battery also, wish they can mod them so you can use the 12v from your car instead of battery.

v6 gets factory homelink. You could make it 12v powered but it might take some soldering skills and electrical work. This mod makes it so that the 4 cylinder EX and up models get it. Yes they do give you all the parts you need to install it. That includes the battery. It works just like the OEM v6 model but with a battery that has to be replaced.

I saw this and think it's a neat mod for the $$$, but I wonder how long the battery will last? If you can easily change the battery I may buy one. Guess I should call the vendor.

I have 12 year old clip-on Home-Link transmitter, which uses the same battery. I have replaced that battery only once, about three years ago. The first one lasted 9 years. It's not a problem. It gets used about twice a day, maybe more on weekends.
PS. Wal-Mart sells those batteries in two packs. I still have the other in my "battery drawer"!!

Good points, guess I'll add this to my shopping list for floor mats and the trunk organizer.
Thanks for the sanity check.
