What vehicle, mileage, etc.? Do you have a medical syringe for a "turkey baster" method or are you wanting to completely flush the system by disconnecting the lines? Is it leaking anywhere now?
What fluid will you be using to do the flush?

Honda considers is a NO-NO!:paranoid:
If you want all/most the old fluid out, the "turkey baster" method with a couple of repeats is the safest way.
what's the year????

What is used for power steering fluid? Can I just use ATF (Z1) or does Honda requires something different?
(just got salvage title 2005 Accord LX, no user's manual)
Thanks.

no. Honda has it's own fluid & doesn't recommend using ATF.

hey, isn't the newsletter referring to an actual fluid product that should be used for a flush? so is it still a good idea to drain out and refill with new PS fluid? Or can I just pour it till it hits MAX, cause this is what I did last week when I noticed it was at the min line.

Drain & refill is fine. Topping off with Honda fluid is fine unless it's dirty or contaminated.

I used a hand oil pump to remove old fluid, Pumped, filled, ran engine/turned steering wheel, and pumped, many (6-8?) times, as myn was dirty, and had trany fluid in it (~120K miles).
My question is, when your done, fill to the top line, with engine off, (and at normal operation temperature)?
If so, It will go over the line, once at normal temp, and the engine running (quite a bit, if was filled cold).
