Well, after ordering my EX coupe in manual the dealer just confirmed with Honda that they will not be producing the manual trans. till next month to even December. TO BAD. I was really looking forward to the stick shift. Anyone else running into this problem??

Not a good thing. My lease runs up on my car and I really need to seal a deal before the end of the month. I guess a AUTO is all I can get at this point. Hopefully, they get a EX Auto in sometime in the next week or so.

So... I put a deposit with a dealer in Ohio on the promise that he has found 6+ ex-l without navigation mangual transmission black coupes being built and he has redirected one from the factory to this dealership, should be here next week (first week of november).

hope its not b.s. because i already sold my car in anticipation and am currently borrowing my girlfriends 98 accord. when my paycheck is cut on nov 9th i want to pick it up...

Yeah, I got this confirmation too. I WILL be purchasing a 08 or 09 Manual V6 6 Speed! :)

i believe our local dealership has one 6speed coupe on the lot.... i think that's what stevel said the other day.

edit: yep an ex v6 6 speed with navi and also an ex 4 cyl manual.

well, the 8th gen is out unless they release a v6 manual sedan in the future.... the 4 cyl doesn't cut it for him power wise and the coupe doesn't work out because of the 1 year old in the backseat. :lmao: if we're going to go to an automatic in the future, we'll have to be gaining something that we can't get with the sedans (like ability to haul more crud or something....)


though that might not stop us from going and test driving a 6 speed coupe just to see what it's like! ;)

'08 Coupes w/MT are already on sale in Canada as of Friday, Oct.26th.

I drove a MT V6 Coupe.

There just isn't going to be very many MT I4 Sedans. Americans are lazy. We don't like MT's that much over all.

As luck would have it my dealer got a EX Sedan 5MT in there last load of 07's after I purchased the Mazda. My dealer had no idea they were getting the car. Or I would have waited it out and purchased the 7th gen MT I4 Sedan.

We had an EX coupe MT at our dealer...

There was a 5sp EX-L coupe, no NAVI at the Fayetteville dealership a couple weekends ago. That's the only manual trans coupe I've seen. A couple 5sp sedans have come and gone within a day. The one stealership I started to negotiate a purchase with claimed there were a couple 5sp coupes in production that they'd be receiving in November. (They lured me in by saying they HAD the cars.) I should find out today or tomorrow if I can get mine sooner or later.
