Just wondering if anyone installed the typhoon intake systme in their accord.. i have a 07 V6 5 AT.. or just the filter.. not the intake from K & N.
Also want to know if it was loud.. if anyone did this mod.
Thanks

I have the K&N air filter in my 05 V6 6MT coupe.
Performance wise, you won't see any improvement really...I got slightly better gas mileage.
The sound is a little bit deeper, but again, not very noticeable.
Good point is I don't have to change my filter every year, just clean it!

I have the filter, and I haven't noticed much of a difference. Of course, I haven't dynoed it yet though, either.

Go back to a paper element. K&N's "flow" so well b/c they filter less. Your letting in more dirt than you probably want. A Fram, Purolator, or Wix paper element will do the job well.

Replacing the filter with a "high flow" filter is pointless. So "MAYBE" you have some improvements (big maybe), but is that worth the trade-off with that filter? If you want some sort of improvement over the stock intake then get a CAI (even then, the power increases are very small), otherwise you are wasting your time and money only to let more crap into your engine.
time + money -> pretty much only negative effects
What's the point in that?

Thanks guys, Chanke4252.. i noticed that you got HFP suspension on ur ride.. is the ride alot harder? is that suspension only springs? or camber too ? thanks.. i was thing of the Typhoon intake .. probably not just the filter

The typhoon intake is nice. I'll probably ditch the k&n oiled filter for some dry filter when time comes around, but the fact that you don't have to leave it a CAI is very nice.
The hfp suspension is springs and struts. I have an ingalls rear camber kit as well. Rides like stock (though the 6spds are a little stiffer than the others in stock form). I know a lot of people say "it rides like stock" with setups like tein basics and really stiff stuff, but the hfp actually does ride like stock, hah. I've had other setups before, and even my other aftermarket "comfort" based setup did not ride anything like stock.
