Who's got these 6X9's in the rear deck? The specs on them are very good on Crutchfield. 130.00 for the pair doesn't seem bad for these 2 way's. Let me know what y'all think.
94dB sensitvity
50- 21k Hz
2 ohm's
2 watts RMS
2 ohms again. Why don't you try and see if the headunit will handle a 2 ohm load? If the amp gets fried after a few hours (or days) then we know for sure it's not a good idea. You'd actually do us all a favor :D

Why wouldn't it? It would be easier to drive these speakers than a 4 ohm, would it not?

No, it's the other way around. 2 ohm is more load on the amp than 4 ohm. If the amp is able to drive 2 ohm speakers it will output more power. But if it can't it will just overheat and fail.

This is correct, they're probably too much for the stock head unit.
Try the Boston Acoustics S95, IMO they're the best rear speaker upgrade if you don't want to add an amp to the stock head unit. I had them before I added an amp and they sounded great!

I'm having a hard time between the JBL's, Kappa's, Polk's, and the Boston's. The JBL's and Kappa's are 2 ohm so I guess those are out of the question, even though they're very nice. Some Pioneer's on Crutchfield seemed decent, but I don't want to settle and regret it later.
Polk's or Boston's... I just need to make up my mind. :dunno:

Are you looking to add a sub to the system at all? If so I wouldn't even bother changing out the rears and just leave them stock. If not, I think either the polks or bostons are good, similar speakers, just depends on price I think.

No sub, just replacing the factories starting in the rear. I see in your sig that you've got the Kappa 6X9's; still running the stock HU?
Yeah it was running off the stock head unit but now its amped off the basslink. Before that if I played something too loud or too bassy the kappas would make a horrible static noise and clip at high volume. When that wasnt happening they sounded great but it was damn annoying when it happened and i liked to play my music loud.
