I've not personally worked with an Audigy card before, and I'm not sure what hardware/operating system you're working with. But these are my first thoughts:

* If your computer's motherboard has onboard audio, disable it (normally an option in the CMOS setup). Restart. If not fixed:
* Remove the driver and associated software for whatever sound card you were using before. Restart. If not fixed:
* Turn the system off and unplug the system unit. Remove the Audigy card. Plug the power back in and start the system. Remove the driver and software associated with the Audigy card. Go to Creative Labs' website and download the newest version of the driver and associated software for your operating system. Install the software once you've downloaded it. Shut down system, unplug the power, reinstall the card, plug in the power, and restart.

Good luck--I hope this helps.

Maybe you need a set of speakers with a sub? Then set your speakers to what it is.. 5.1 or 6.1 or 7.1...etc etc then you might have this enabled. Just a guess.

Hey edwilson i have windows xp and i do have speakers with a sub. I was connecting my speakers to the mother board port because i do not have a sound card. I bought the sound blaster sound card so i could raise the bass and treble. I went to creative's site dled the driver for my model and it is still greyed out. Any suggestions. Thanks

If you were plugging your speakers into the motherboard, you've got an onboard audio card. It'd be best if you could disable that--you can normally do that from your CMOS setup. When you first turn your computer on, you should see an option to enter setup (something like "Press F2 for SETUP" or "Press DEL for SETUP"). If you can tell me what kind of motherboard you have, I can give you a better idea of how to access the BIOS to disable the onboard audio.

Also-is this the standard Windows XP mixer program (accessed by double-clicking the speaker icon in the system tray by the clock) or is it the Creative Mixer? I do remember a similar issue with the SB Live! cards--the bass/treble/bass boost options were greyed out in the Windows mixer because the Creative Mixer superceded the Windows Mixer. Check in the Start --> All Programs group created by the Creative software--you might find that it has its own mixer program.

Let me know. Feel free to PM me, as well, if you like.
