It doesnt fit anywhere else so here I am, anyone own one of these vans and also ownes a digital camera AND would like to help on an Air Conditioning Tutorial which will be branching out to all Honda vehicles, Accords will be next in line, this is my prototype and I already had it started, all I need is some pics around the system and maybe a little bit of gaining access to some spots, will let you know, if you are willing. I know its old an vehicle but I am still looking. Junk yarders good too, even better, tear into it.
A famous Honda Instructor, Grant Swaim, did not cover the AC System, so I am going to.

I'm not sure what you mean by the AC system was not covered.....:dunno: It's part of the Honda tech school stuff just like the rest of the car. It''s all in the repair manuals.
I've never heard of this Mr. Swaim.:dunno:
Please explain further what you need, I'm confused.:)
As an example:

Thanks Princess, I have MOD, I want actual color photos showing wire colors and connectors and ground locations and every detail to build an open source diagnostic tutorial. I used VISIO to build full color (better than MOD) schematics. I just got OD5 and was very disappointed with the color diagrams.
The schematics will be animated GIFs to show what happens when certain switches and relays are turned on and what to test when they do not showing actual test locations with easy access (or the easiest access). This is one system where a simple volt meter will do 98% of what you want, a set of gauges and your hand will get the rest.
Some people do not understand that when they test for power at the 2 wires at the blower motor, why do both wires have power and the motor is not running. Some kind of understand that power is running through the motor, but they dont know that the volt meter is the ground, but not a good enough ground due to its internal impedance to let the motor start, they do not know that the motor is ground side controlled or even what a ground side control means.
I do several Honda forums (along with others) and a few AC forums, just want to help and this gives me something to do. I stay busy. Other Hondas will follow once I bruah up on my technique with this already started project.
I would like to talk with you off line when you get time please, you have my e mail, at your convenience.

Its kewl, maybe he is only famous to folks on iATN and in his part of the country, NC. He had many factory training modules and he taught around the country, then he had a heart attack and became a tech institute instructor, he just didnt cover AC in his travels. I make a killing doing AC so I concider it fun.

Well, I don't think, I could be of any help..... I don't have a Ody:dunno:
The diagrams have been enough for us. There's actual pictures for some things to. The wiring always has the color & most of the time it describes what happens (or doesn't) when checking the relays, etc.
I DO think I'm understanding what you're trying to do now. Could be helpful! especially to ones that don't deal with daily:yes:

Thank you and your '03 will be later in the project, American military around here dont drive that new of a car yet, I help them out too with my free stuff as I am a retiree. As you now understand, some regular folks on the forums cant unravel a schematic either so I would offer just the parts related to their problem with no (or minimum) wires crossing on the diagram also, pics, theory, some guidance, a tutorial, as you know, Haynes just dont cut it sometimes and how many folks have you helped that dont have any manual not do they want to spend $15, real dense folks just want you to fix it for them over the internet, well, thats why we are here, right.
You can imagine that a one page schematic printout will now be several pages in PDF or slides in PPt, the entire system for one vehicle may be many pages long but a 16 year old will be able to repair their system. Its not as much work as it sounds though. Do the first one and the next vehicle has a few wire color changes (takes a couple of minutes in Visio) and a whole nother model is done, the next gen has an updated system and some minor changes, an hour, and done with that one too. This will all be used to teach with in the future as well, FOR PAY.
You dont need to respond, this is a good site, I hope its ok if I hang out here too.
