First post for Drive Accord. Drove past Honda of New Rochelle (Westchester County, NY) and spotted my first 08 Coupe. As a 7th Gen owner, the 8th Gen definitely cuts the string with the compact heritage of previous generation Accords. As shared by others, the new Accords must be seen in order to be appreciated. At a glance, the sedan is very evocative of the BMW 5 series, which is the context most will judge the new style. Personally, I believe the 8th Gen changes are for the better, as it clearly differentiates the Accord from the Civic. The beige interior offset by the black dash and silver accents is very Acura-like, and the waffle pattern is a winner. Hard to believe, but dealer installed options & markup raised the sticker to 29K, which I was later told was 'flexible'. They also shared that the V6's were expected in late November. Personally, I'm looking at the TL, A4 quattro or 328xi when my lease expires in December. That said, the new coupe would have fit the bill three years ago. Enjoy!
