The system uses pretty frequently when you battle someone
I've only played the game for about an hour so far. The wireless capability is very nice though.

I only have one battle under my belt. I was exhausted today after working the airshow...so I took a nap instead. As soon as Extreme Makeover Home Edition is over....I'm back on though :)
I want to unlock more songs...there are some great ones so far!

That is what I hear. I haven't tried it yet..but I need to call a couple of my buddies down in TX to see if they got the game yet.
What are you thinking? DA.net Wii tournaments :)
I'm still playing on easy right now...

I think you are reading my mind. I was just perusing the menu of the Wifi and it looks like you play friends or strangers. I haven't checked it out yet though.
Next time I am on the Wii I'll grab my console code and post it.

I went to gamestop....they didn't have the extra guitar...so I have to back next week as having only 1 guitar is dumb.....
I see it...we'll do the game thing another time...:) Maybe we can include some others in the fun.

My wife is a teacher and she has conferences tomorrow night, so I know what I am doing...
If I play for a while my eyes start to play tricks on me. I'll look over a the fireplace and the bricks move like they are floating on water. It's pretty cool, but I better not operate heavy machinery after playing.
flippco
10-28-2007, 07:35 PM
they didn't have the extra guitar
Did they say they were getting them in? I haven't heard when just the guitars are coming out, I would imagine it would be a few weeks yet as they probably needed them for the launch.
stevencrosbie
10-28-2007, 07:38 PM
I asked them about the extra guitars and they said next week sometime....of course...they probably lied to me to get me out the door.
I hear ya on the eyes thing. I can only play for an hour at a time. I have to give them a rest.
Hmm....looks like tomorrow will be the day...I guess I need to get better because i still suck. ;)

So far he has completed 16 of the 42 songs on HARD and he just unlocked the Met Alhead character.
I just watched him beat "Miss Murder" and as an encore they gave him "Paint it Black"... He asked me to come watch and I have to say I don't know how the heck you guys beat these songs..I was dizzy just watching the notes fly by the screen!!!

My wife keeps telling me if I put the effort into guitar lessons that I put into GH3, I will be a pro in no time.
I too am thinking about picking up a guitar and taking lessons. I am thinking it will be nice to get the feel so when my wife and I have kids music lessons can be something we do together.

Dad sells son's 90-dollar video game online for more than 9000
Sun Dec 16, 1:37 AM ET
MONTREAL (AFP) - After catching his 15-year-old smoking pot, a father sold the hard-to-get "Guitar Hero III" video game he bought his son for 90 dollars for Christmas at an online auction, fetching 9,000 dollars.
The sale took place after the father spent two weeks searching for the video game for the Nintendo Wii gameboard.
"So I was so relieved in that I had finally got the Holy Grail of Christmas presents pretty much just in the nick of time. I couldn't wait to spread the jubilance to my son," the father wrote on the eBay website.
"Then, yesterday, I came home from work early and what do I find? My innocent little boy smoking pot in the back yard with two of his delinquent friends."
The man, a school teacher, who kept his identity private, said he sold the coveted video game to punish his son and discourage him from smoking dope.
The sale was a boon for the family's bank account, since the game the father purchased for 90 dollars (US) was finally sold to an Australian who plunked down 9,100 dollars for it.
The naughty son, however, will not go without a present on Christmas.
"I am still considering getting him a game for his Nintendo. Maybe something like Barbie as the Island Princess or Dancing with the Stars ... I know he will just love them," the father said, tongue-in-cheek.

Man am I jealous. I was wanting to get a WII system this CHristmas but not willing to pluck down any of the premiums on ebay, etc. I'll do the $250 on the system but of course, almost impossible to find.
Maybe I'll join in with stories of my daughter's GH work in the Spring. She's pretty good at on the old antiquated PS2 now. Til then, you guys keep it up so I can live vicariously through the fun.

Some DA members have said they can easily find wii's in their area...
Start a thread and see if you can PP a trusted member some cash to pick one up and send it..
That sure would be cool to surprise your daughter

Good idea...have to check with the boss (aka wife) where we are on the competing plan for the oldest daughter's big gift: surprising her with a newly designed bedroom (Hannah Montana themed, etc). Her B'day is the 28th so it's a big gift time for her you know. My daughter actually knows little of the WII at this point and isn't even asking for one. I may wait for the Spring...or you may just see the new thread shortly. Or maybe I'll flip flop some more on the thought process...:dunno:
Thanks for the idea!
