Someone in Canada has inquired about my car. I am willing to deliver it there, but I am wondering if I am going to have a problem at the boarder. Are they going to try to tax me somehow?

I went through this buying my gf a car here in Ma and exporting it to Ottawa.
He will have to pay the sales tax at Canadian Customs when you cross the border. Before you cross you need a letter from Honda saying your car blah blah Vin# is free from any recalls. The US Customs will need a copy of your Title and this takes about 3 days for them to look up your car is not stolen and is free of any liens....so submit it 3-4 days prior to exporting the vehicle.
If you wana save your canadian buyer money, on the bill of sale write a lower amount. Thats something you two will hv to discuss.
Hope this helps....Any more questions I will gladly help.

Here is a link to help you and the buyer on the deal: http://www.ucanimport.com/ . I have read good reviews about that guide. Remember to tell him that Canadian Honda dealers WILL NOT honor any American Honda warranty and that he is responsible (out of his own pocket) of ANY recalls on the vehicule.
