Ding dong the Jettas gone!

So im in a rut, i cant decide whether to be excited or sad about the fact that an hour and a half ago, i signed over the title to my Jetta to its new owner.
It was such a fun car when it worked right, and the cult leading the brand is so much fun with shows and get togethers.


I got $200 less than kbb private party value.. Not too shabby if you ask me.

So i think i'll just beat the crap out of the Teg until Christmas and buy myself a good present.. I.e. a 6th gen accord in cash.


There are just more important things in life to me right now then a brand new car.. Id rather save for a house etc.


So there you go DA... I am solely a Honda owner again.

Yeah-- Duh Dont you follow the posts for the last year and a half? I made the mistake of trading in the accord for something that was more fun, only to trade in a good car for one with headaches.


No, sorry, if i was going to buy a newer car, it would be brand new, or have less than 20k miles. But your car is nice though.

Id rather only spen like 8-9 grand on one, and we get them cheap enough here at work that im not worried..
We have the complete service history on a 2000 exv6 sedan, 71k miles, and we only have 7 grand in it in trade.. So that means $7200 for me!
Only problem is its the gold gold color.. I want white/heather mist/ or the dark green.

Sad to hear about the Jetta being problematic. I don't think I know or have spoken to anyone who hasn't had problems with the Jetta. I wonder if the current Gen is any better?

This one looks like the Naples gold color... Like gold GOLD Heather Mist is that light purple color.

The one you're speaking of is Naples Gold Metallic. I used to have a 6th gen in that color.

I personally think Naples Gold gives the Accord a much richer look to it; I've seen more 6th gens with heathermist and faded/cracked paint everywhere than I can count.

I like the signet silver, though that was discontinued after 00', as was Heather Mist I'm almost positive.

Heather Mist was available in 98/99. In 2000, it was replaced with Naples Gold.

Signet Silver was only available in 2000, and only on EX models. I owned one and it always looked beautiful. I miss that car terribly.

Flamenco Black was available in 98/99 but replaced with Nighthawk Black in 2000.
