has anyone done a map light mod?

i think the ex's do this but im not sure. I dont own an ex. i have an SE and i want the map lights to turn on like the dome light when the doors are open. and shut off when the doors are closed. Is there anyway to modifiy it so it does this?

I have an '05 SE coupe and mine has a switch between the lights that I can switch to come on when the doors are open or off all the time

Our maplights are different. The EX models have the ambient console light, and the blanked-off panel for the HomeLink on the I4s. I'd imagine it's a difficult change, not just plug-and-play.
