I just have a quick for those of you that are considering upgrading to a new 08 Accord.

Does anyone think its really worth trading in an 07 on a 08. Personally Im kinda torn between the two. I will miss the LEDs, which I am still trying to figure out why would Honda Down grade especially since they they already dont come Standard with HIDs. Also, the exterior is a hit and miss for the front grill unless you go with black but that can be altered easily with an aftermarket grill. The advantage though is that its bigger which means more room for me. I am 6'7 and my 2007 Accord is a "Exactly" a perfect fit. The only thing I cant seem to fix is the right vibration in the front passenger tire that only occurs when driving down the highway after the car has sat up overnight. Go figure. :dunno: Anyhow, Ive been really considering upgrading, with the exception they give me a fair trade.

Yeah thats why I wanted to see if anyone else agrees. I know people that would do it though but Ive put 8000 miles on my car in 5 months, which means that Ive been enjoying every bit of it. I previously owned a 2003 accord but I bought it used and the car contained a Boat Load of problems from rattles to tranny. Then again it was a first year model back then. But I personally feel like that the 08 and 07 V6 arent that many light years apart. Besides 244hp are enough for an 19 year old guy like myself, for now anyways.

It hink you should for the new room. I saw if you have the money, go FOR IT!! If you aren't that great on money or are about average, don't.

What is the point of this thread? There are already hundreds of posts in this forum comparing the 8th gen to the 7th gen, along with all of the back-and-forth debate and bickering that came with them.

As far as the actual decision to switch, it is 100% the personal choice of the O/P, which should be based on a careful in-person comparison and test-drive, not an internet thread. There definitely is no good financial reason to get rid of a 2007 for a 2008. It's a losing proposition from that standpoint.
