alright well i went to bestbuy a week back and talked to an employee about installing an aftermarket headunit in the cd/storage area under the main console. He told me that's done easily and there would be no problem. I then go back today to buy the unit and get it installed, only to be told it was impossible to install an aftermarket headunit in the 04 accord. Since i know that many people on this forum have done installations, i was wondering what the best possible way to go to install a new headunit.

don't let the installer touch your car. he's an idiot.

on a side note, i don't think I'd let best buy touch my newer car anyway. I had my old beater 97 accord's CD player installed there, without problems.

Obviously, that kid doesn't know what he's doing. Buy the unit from, say, Crutchfield and install it yourself. They'll even provide you with all the necessary instructions and if you get stuck, help is a call away.
