:grumpy:Hi.. ok i did it..something must of been in my pocket and really scuffed /scratched up the top drivers side where there side air bag is. I would like to replace it . Is there DIY on replacing the covers. I found a decent price at majestic honda for replacement covers. Is it do able.
Or maybe repairable.? I think it happens because i leave seat to close and I slide in and rub the side airbag cushion too hard. I should just leave more room to get in then adjust the seat but.... Im not the smallest of guys
Thanks RonEvan

Not sure if you care, but a friend of mine has a shop in Egg Harbor City, it's about an hour away from you but he does excellent work (have seen it with my own eyes)...let me know I can hook you up with him. He will just replace the piece of the seat and you will never be able to tell, it'll save you money even after the 1 hour drive :D

Idk where you can get that from.
That happened in my Accord too.
Same place and all, just the passenger side.

Yeah might be interested in hooking up with a repair person. Its just a small area that scuffed /scratched up. Its on the drivers side inner side of the side air bag. I heard and read about a repair company that has franchises all over the country but only one in NJ I forgot where, alot are located in Florida. I would think alot of people use it prior to lease returns.. THis is not a lease this is a keeper. I wanted it when it came out in 03 and settled for a 4cyl 5mt but was able to get a leftover 06 when 07s came out at over 5 grand off list. I drove to Virginia to take delivery. The car was just laying there in stock for months. We sorta "found" each other lol. My email is rresnic1@optonline.net. I can get the replacement cover easily and discounted from Majestic Honda. I havent found anyone cheaper yet. I stilll got to figure out how I did the damage. I think its from sliding into the seat and the friction is wearing it. I may cover the top with protective cover if I can find something suitable which wont interfere with the airbag deployment. Maybe Lamb .dunno
Thanks Ron

Just MacGyver it. I heard duct tape works wonders.
This place sells a crack/scratch filler (think of it as a flexible bondo) and the dye. http://www.leatherique.com/

Do they do repair?? I thought they specialized in leather upgrade kits for cloth interiors. At least in my dealings with them.:dunno:

WOW thanks pretty involved. To change the seat back cover I would have to remove the seat just to start then gets pretty involved...duct tape mmm.. nahh.. Professional repair option.. maybe... Dealer replacement .. maybe..
But thanks for the info...will weigh the options and push the seat further back so I am not sliding into on the side airbag cover which what i think is doing the damage.. funnu had a 03 Coupe with cloth covers and didnt seem to have the same issue.
Thanks Ronevan
