: Things you like about your 8th gen

After a few days driving, here's the first couple things I love about the new accord. The shifter looks and feels sexy! Probably my favorite thing in this car. As soon as I figure out how to cram it in my 03, I'm there. The radio, on certain stations, will tell you the song and artist! My wife mentioned this as being the thing that put the car over the top for her. What features most got everyone else's attention?

Glad to hear that you are enjoying the new Accord.
Although I don't have RDS in the Accord, the stock headunit in the Blazer does. Very nifty feature.

one touch up/down on front windows,
turning radius is nice (imo) for a car this big.
i like the dash and gauges. i think the older gauges were too played out (07 and before look like my 93s).

7th gen gauges were much different than previous gens. previously the gauges had all been flat and cheap looking, and pretty much looked the same.
premium audio & 6 discs mp3 cd player!
head rest, you can now rest your head on it hahaa
1up and 1down on passenger window.
low tires pressure indicator.

I don't have an 8th gen, but i LOVE THE AUTO SUNROOF! Closes, opens, and tilts ALL BY ITSELF! :)

Simple. The 3.5L 268HP engine.

paint choices, interior design & fit, and the v6 engine
oh, and the stock 18's

compliments from people who have never seen the 8th gen before. One lady, who seemed to be around 60 years old, came up to me and asked "Is that your car? What IS it??! It's so unique". I'd tell them it's the new Accord Coupe, and they just couldn't believe it. Hah.
Seriously, my favorite thing about it is the available power (got the V6).

After reading few of above posts you guys are going to laugh.
I bought the o8 sedan LX, mainly for good gas mileage/reliability and good size.
What i was impressed with the L4 2.4 IVTEC/5AT combo is very good low speed response with nice wide power-band, Th's comes from the VTEC engine and combo 5 speed with low final ratios (4.44).
Other things i noticed not mentioned yet, very tight steering because of variable ratio, high head clearance and relatively tight suspension for its size.
I only have like 200 miles on it so haven't really pushed on it to much (WOT).

I needed a nice sized 4 door sedan (with all the niceties) for work. I shopped and shopped. I could have purchased ANY car in my price range and done pretty good, but the Honda won me over with its reputation and vehicle dynamics. As a Corvette owner I appreciate a good handling vehicle, my 08 Accord EX-L is up to the task of taking a corner without fear of loss of control. In a way it feels like the $36K BMW 325i I was considering. That speaks volumes to me.
I also like the interior and attention to detail. That never goes out of style. What's not to like for $28K, oh and the fact that it's a ULEV and get's good fuel mileage is icing on the cake.

i like the fact the interior doesnt really make you think of previous accords at all.but instead has a more "acura" feel (imo).
when i sat in the 05/07 accord, it still had hints of the 6th gen in it, and the 6th gen had hints of 5th and 5th had hints of 4th.

One of the things I like most about my 8th gen over my 7th gen is the placement of the moonroof switch. It's simple... but it makes so much more sense.

The very responsive feel of the car in handling and control.

oh: and that honda FINALLY offered black interior with a black accord sedan.

I'm mulling over either an EX-L sedan or a Hyundai Sonata to replace my '03 EX that now has 240k.
Having th the sunroof switch moved makes sense.
It appears though the sunglass storage by the rear view mirror is now gone?
I'll also miss the cubby below the HVAC, where my XM Ski-Fi1 resides out of site.

The sunglass storage is still there. And the cubby is still there, they just added a shelf and shortened the door to only cover the top shelf. Looking at your XM, it'll be real close if it fits.
