since the multi state powerball is the talk of the town around here because of the high money up for grabs last night, here's a poll on lotteries!

i tend to stick mostly with scratch of "small money" tickets when i do play. i never even win $2 on the powerball ones!!! :(

I hate the lottery because it eats up so much of your money. My mom got 5 out of 6 matched ones, but didn't match the last number, the "mega." She won $80. Isn't that such a freakin rip off?

I rarely buy tickets - scratch or otherwise. I voted "only when the jackpot is 'worth' it!" That's about the only time I buy a ticket or two.

we buy scratch tickets fairly regularly. only buy the big money games when the jackpots are up over 9 digits. i cant even remember the last time i won so much as a free ticket with the big money games.

Although I voted "only when worth it"...it's not quite the truth..... it's more like whenever we remember. (Occationally would be my answer) They do allow you to put in more money & play for several drawings with one visit. So a couple of weeks ago we put in $20 & have numbers for 2 games for 8 weeks, then picked other numbers for 4 weeks.

When the dealer relocated it meant that there's no longre a conveinence store nearby. We were slack enough before.... now it's near impossible to remember to buy any.

I liked it better before they added the "mega" number here! Our's starts at 7 million.

I'll be sure to let you all know if we ever win!:D

Wait...a car forum gets together by hopping onto a plane and meeting somewhere....why does that seem so wrong to me? LOL

I'd drive.....even to FL....winning would mean no time limit to make the trip!:D

anysia
10-11-2004, 06:47 AM
benji,speed.. but i hate flying anyway, so i'd probably want to drive!!! ;) (and with my driving, i could make it in record time right?!)

princess, unfortunately for the rest of us who didn't win, we'd have a time limit.... :bawling:

princess

Well, we'd just have to find someplace in the middle then..... I know, we'll just all go to feferic's house! Neb. is in the middle!:D

We could just all show up! Maybe all 615 of us! :D I'm sure he'd have room....;) Camp in his yard.... right? There's lots of room in Neb.

We didn't win again this week...I had 3 numbers, just not all in the same game..... there's another drawing on Wed.

Hey I propose a Yellowstone meet. The Prelude drivers have an all-CA meet in San Luis Obispo and the Supra dudes have one in Las Vegas and the Odyclub folks are planning one in Harris Ranch. We could kick all their behinds haha

princess
10-11-2004, 05:30 PM
If one of us wins a big lotto, then they can cover all the room charges, right?:)

Hey no kiddin, there's no big fancy hotels with suites that cost $10k a night in Yellowstone either so ain't gotta be worrying about that haha.

princess

 Maybe we could just rent the whole hotel where ever we'd meet! Five star, room service, great food.....

...if any of us ever win!!! ;)

if i win, i'll buy one of every car i want (and yes, very "sad" to say, i'd still be driving hondas and acuras! i'm really not into the muscle cars or the hideously overpriced cars out there! i'd just get myself one of every car i wanted in every version i wanted!! hehe!!!)

Hey ya know sometimes if you go thru and look at the list of things that you plan to give away (cash or houses to family, cars to friends, vacations, houses, education, etc etc), sometimes you actually come out on the negative side haha.

anysia
10-12-2004, 03:57 PM
i won't make promises to anyone... i'm just gonna get the cars i want! :lmao:

well, i'd probably help my immediate family out some-pay off their current houses/cars....

then have some fun!! :D

and of course get a meet with all you guys!!

I certainly could consider myself well traveled, having been to Yellowstone/Mt. Rushmore/Devil's Tower twice within 5 years and driven with relatives both times! But as for the Cali meet they put it on the backburner, I'm still anticipating that it will happen though (eventually).

my brother used to get pulled over in virginia all the time... he lived down there for awhile during an internship, and he d a car with pa plates. he said he felt like a target!

i'm admittedly alot more saneof a driver when i cross the state line.

this morning on 79 i was up to 90. stupid woman in a grand am doing 50 in the passing lane ticked me off, so when i was freed, i flew.....

u know, it's funny u say that...my mom and the rest of us were on our way down to florida, and this little jeep wrangler with a woman driving it was only doing 55 in a 65 and wouldn't get over...well, my mom gets pissed off and starts to lay on the horn and flash her highs at her....this lasted for 10-20 minutes...finally were able to pass them in the right lane....couldn't beleive that they wouldn't let us pass them...

you think ur bad, i can beat you there...

about two weeks ago, i was on the way to my house with my g/f....i was doing about 70ish in a 55. well, i was passing cars and what not...all of a sudden, this lady in this caddy gets right on my back bumper and starts to flash her lights. i slam on my brakes a couple of times to let her know to back off....she still keep doing it. i slow to about 50 and ride my brakes....was pacing the car beside me....she finally nearly hits me and speed away...in the meantime, i floor my car to catch up to her and scare the crap out of my g/f in the process... :sorry: i wanted so bad to find out where she went..... :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored:

bottom line: i have very very very bad road rage... :D :blah:

princess
10-13-2004, 08:32 AM
Every once in a while other drivers can produce a bit of rage in me....but for the most part I stay pretty calm. Well, about their stupidity. If challenged, I have a hard time refusing.....

If someone flashes their lights at me when I'm already exceeding the limit, I may or may not move. It depends on what I see. When our daughter (#1) was in labor & the baby was trying to come before we got her to the hospital we didn't honk or flash lights, we just wove between cars. We got her there with a couple minutes to spare!
:D

Here, you may get shot if you tick off other drivers too much!

:(

i aim for making the other driver think i'm more nuts than them! hoopefully they're afraid i might shoot them instead! :lmao: (i don't even know how to fire a gun!)

i don't appreciate the people who are cruising along nicely, then they catch up to people in the other lane and they slow down 10-15 mph..... i HATE that!!

geez, everyone is going to think i'm a completely nuts driver by the time i'm done here! not true, i'm tame until provoked!
