Here's a few images I would share.... It's what's on my signature. The only upgrade done here are replacing all MBQ components with 2 pairs of PPI 356CS components for front and rear (yep my rear fills are the same as my fronts for more better SQ overall). These PPIs btw are the last of the A/D/S made components :thmsup:

Took me weeks to tweak the soundstage but yes!, when I play DMB... it feels like the entire band is playing right in front of me :lol:

More to come when all's done with the chroming of my amps...

Midrange and treble coming from behind your head is not ideal SQ.....but, to each his own. I would have kept your front stage as is.......maybe put in a couple of midbass drivers in the rear location (or left the speakers out totally) and installed a sealed 10"-12" sub in the deck or trunk. IMHO this would have given the best SQ.

Nice install though.

@lebomb:

Yep :thmsup: the eassiest way to get better SQ is to leave out the rear fill... this is why it took me quite a while to move the soundstage right up front. The good part about it tho is that I'm running the fronts on it's own amp and the rear has it's own amp aswell plus the fronts are hooked up to a TDS proc (a cheat) which really moves the front stage upfront regardless of having rear fills or not and the rear comps are hooked up to a WAVES maxxbass 103 (another cheater box lol)which made my mids kick more harder and more rounded. A single 12" sub on WAVES 103 (and another... aw my bad) turned out to be more than adequate none the less (used to run 3 10s btw).

Anyway like you said, skipping the rear fills are the sure fast way of setting up an SQ setup but I guess being an old school and a major tweakhead... it's fun to tweak a rig with rear fills filled :D :D :D

Thanks for the better explanation..........OK, now I see you have good SQ. You understand the whole concept I see. Good job on your install. :thmsup:
