Hey, I'm planning on getting my car tinted this weekend. Can you guys please post up any pictures you have of your car with tints, I would like to see my options with how dark I would like the tints to be. I have no idea what % tint I should get. :dunno: Also, I noticed that a lot of people don't have their graphite pearl accords tinted. My car is graphite pearl, will the tints look good on it? I hope so...

Front Passenger Side- 20% (The police don't mind it...I think.)
Rear Drivers Side- 5% (legal)
Rear Passenger Side- 5% (legal)
Rear Window- 5% (legal) [w/ black "outdoor" vinyl over the dot matrix)

I am 5% in the back, and 15% up front....

The pic is with the moon roof open, so it is usually a bit darker..

3M. 20% is the tint on the Truck. This will give you the white car with tint perspective...although...just not on a Honda.

BTW, you probably want to tint your car around the legal limit. I would guess a shade or two darker wouldn't get you in trouble.

Yeah...it's nobody's fault here on DA...unless you built my old TL....then I hate you. :) It really wasn't just the rattles...the other stuff failing sent me over the edge.

The 20% is darker, but I think the white plus the angle of the sun in my pictures makes it really dark. I lived in NM...so the darker the tint...the more comfortable the car. In CO...I went with 35% because that sun sure does feel good when it was 10 degrees outside.

35% on the sides and the rear. I have Diamond Auto Tint brand and it came with a lifetime warranty valid at any retailer.

I don't like the color of the film that was used on the 07, so although the shop that tinted the 06 was more expensive, I'll eventually have them redo the tint.

Hate to HI-Jack the thread or anything, but quick ? on tints, i got the polished metal with white leather, i want something that you can see thru but barely make out the person from a distance in daylight, and at night not something so dark where you have a hard time looking out of it.

What percentage would you guys say? I know black interior you can go lighter, but white i'm unsure.

You probably want to go with something like 20% or 15% (15% is the darker one of the two).

I was planning to get 35% tint for my 07 accord, but money problems stopped me =(. Gonna go do it once winter is over.. =D. Does anyone know if I have to change the felt on the inside?
Some people tells me that if I dont change it, then the tint will get scratched but some people say its not necessary.

On the scratching issue, I've had my windows tinted ^ the 5%, and I had multiple scratches. I'm not sure if its the felt or if its just dirt particles on the window molding or the "lips" that the window feeds in and out of. ..... ahem.

I had to get my tints taken off, but I just got them signed off and I got them retinted. Anyone know for sure if its the felt or not because I don't want to get them scratched this time.
