Hey guys,
I was just wondering what is better the Rockfords or Inifiniti's. I plan on just switching out the 6x9's and 6.5's and don't want to install any subs.
Rockford Fosgate Punch P163C, and a
Rockford Fosgate Punch P1694C
or
Infiniti REF9623I, and a
Infiniti Ref REF6022I
Would those 6.5's rockfords fit in my front and Do you guys know of any good websites that I can get them at a bargain. Thanks for any advice.

having a budget would be a great starting point... then we'll start from there
OR
just settle with this combination...
Clif Designs PX650C (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300173116377) don't pass on this one
Designs TX69.5 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300171295105) would be a great pair for non-sub rear fills
*hint* cliff designs are from CDT:naughty:

I would say take a listen to both of them and see how you like them. Everyone has a different opinion on what "sounds" good to them.

sooo I just couldn't help but pull the trigger and bought a set of Infiniti's for the front and the back.
I was wondering if I needed an adapter to install the front ones???
I was thinking about taking it out to the shop to install but if it's going to take less than 3 minutes to take off the panel, than i might as well do it myself.

It should drop right in. Accord door panels are very straight forward and easy. There's nothing more satisfying than installing pieces yourself... for first timers, it would be nerve wreaking but that's normal.

thanks evil, I've been browsing all day and it keeps saying that the 7th generation requires an adapter for the front speakers, so I'm not sure if I need them or not. I'll try it out myself and tell you how it goes. Also, I was just afraid that the window might hit the speaker when it rolls down. Should I have my windows up or down when i install them?

I have Rockford Fostgate Punch 6x9 (R) and 6.5 (F) and I'm really satisfied.
One thing to know, the 6.5" in front do not fit, even with a spacer. You will have to trim parts of the door panel, and add a second spacer. In the front, you should use 5.25" for the Rockford Fostgate Punch. Other 6.5" might fit...
Go on crutchfield website, you can find what spacer you need, which speakers fit or don't fit, etc...

my professional opinion (I am a pro installer) is that the Infinity speakers are better. RF is great for amps and subs, but their speakers are nothing special. I carry both of those brands, and I am putting the infinity's in my 07 soon.
For "any" speaker you want to install you will need brackets to push the speaker from the door panel to the grill. There is enough space for most 5.25 and 6.5" speakers for them to clear the window when it rolls down. Your problem will be (as frenzal said) the door panel's cutout. It's very small and probably most 6.5" speakers won't fit even with the available plastic brackets.
To make it fit, you might want to use bigger brackets (spacers) to push it to the grill side even more. But then you need to cut the grill basket (the grill has a basket that fits on the speaker itself -- to make sure the front of the speaker is separate from the rear -- better acoustics).
Get some mdf spacers made for the size you want and make sure they're sealed well after installation. Then measure and cut the grill basket so you can put the door together again. Hard to explain without pictures but when you open the door you'll figure it out, it's not rocket science.
And I vote infinity speakers too :)

I have 2 Infinitys in the rear deck. I must say, it sound's CRISP! But i personally recommend Rockford Fosgate. I heard it in the new Eclipse and it sounded AWESOME.

The infinity speakers actually kind of hurt my ears because the highs and mids are so good and I have no lows :dunno:

 Cleaner, crisper, clearer music with Infinity. I've replaced speakers in my Yukon & Silverado with those. Haven't busted my OEM AV6 speakers yet, but they'll get replaced with Infinity-brand speakers sometime next year (when budget allows for auto mods).
