Has anyone ever done something like this on a 7th? I remember reading its like this on the 8th gen. Note that I don't want to / wouldn't actually do this myself. But many many times i'm so used to the driver auto up that I'll roll another window half way up cause i forget its not auto.
I have another question!
Does anyone know how to be able to lock all windows and still be able to control them from the driver position? Thanks.
the window lock might be possible if all the lines ran through the drivers door, which i doubt. you would have to put a switch in the door, and run each of the door switches through that switch from the door itself, rendering the switches on the doors obsolete, while the drivers switch working. Hopefully. (as long as they run on two seperate relay's that is). the biggest problem is running the lines down to the door and back again. 2lines x 3 doors = 6 lines running to your drivers door from different directions.
and the auto question. i would think, if it was in the switch itself, that you could get a new switch with the auto-up feature built in. but i doubt it is in the switch due to the ability to turn off on its own. you would prob have to retrofit the inside of a drivers window motor to the passenger, then wire it. that would be hard.
so both these questions. final verdict by me:
not gonna happen (or at least be easy/cheap/reliable).

As a somewhat major project, since the JDM is RHD, do you think using two JDM RH drivers door components and two USDM LH drivers door components to build up a four door Auto system.
This would take some doing but not impossible. With the push of one button and as mentioned, some additional circuitry and relays, it is feasable. Will need a bigger fuse though, better to fuse each door seperately.
EDIT
Arent the doors now monitored by CAN, this may be too much work after all.
