In the past few weeks I noticed changes in our water....

It dawned on me this started when the school accross the street changed over from irrgating with well water to city water. I called the city & of course, they claim there is no change to our water. (think the well water is now added to out system) Well, I KNOW there is! My hair is breaking! So are some other people around here. We only have water in common. Different diets, health, life style, hair products.....

So today I took a sample in to have it tested. The city report claims the alkalinity is 56-112, with an adverage of 75. Mine is 120. The calcium (hardness) is 11-27 on the report, with the adverage being 18. Mine is 100.

I emailed the same person I talked to on the phome with these numbers, we'll see what happens.

I've taken them on with other issues & now I'm thinking my next step should be to go door to door asking my neighbors if they are noticing changes....

What do you all think??

I agree- find a few neighbors willing to fight the battle, then look into the Board of Health or whoever is responsible for water quality.

If worse comes to worst, think about opening a dialogue with the local newspaper community affairs reporter.

My neighbors won't fight...they always leave this stuff up to me! I'll get something done..... I nearly always do!

I've take on a few causes over the years. Right now I'm taking on the school...again... for my grandson. He's being tested. They gave up when they discovered he's at least at the END of 2nd grade level & he just started 1st! Now they're supposed to start testing him in math skills. He not only knows simple addition & subtraction, borrowing & carrying, but multipication & division! We want him bumped to 2nd grade because he's so bored in 1st.

Now this water thing! I think I'll take him with me & we'll do a little neighborhood survey after homework. Then I'll have more ammo when I finally hear back from the water people.
