i have a rattling noise coming from my glovebox that just started. i have 73k miles on my 2006 accord. is there something wrong, how can i fix this? it is mainly happening at low speeds, say under 30-40mph.

I've posted this solution before on a much earlier post. It's most likely from the silicone dampened arm attached to the right edge of the glovebox. To test open the glovebox when the rattle occurs if it goes away then that's your culprit. Just mke sure the hook attached to the glovebox is secure with no room to rattle, either wedge it or wrap where the hook attaches with some rubberized tape.

If you search the forum you'll find I also posted a schematic of the area or a pic, I can't remember.

Good luck to you both.

Just recently fixed this rattle on my 04 (I posted this in another thread yesterday but why not) I popped off the little cover and tightened that bolt circled in red. It was extremely loose, haven't heard a rattle since.

Thanks for that p;icture and solution! that was the problem! i popped that cover off, and cranked down on that bolt, no more rattle. it was not very loose or anything, but maybe gave it one full turn and that was the fix.

how do you pop open the cover without scratching it? :dunno:

i just used a screw driver, didn't scratch mine? :Dunno: The left/top is where the push in clips are that need to be popped out. The bottom doesn't have clips there and just little tabs that hold it on. Hope that makes sense.

has anyone noticed this especially with the window closed? once I open it a little the noise disappears or maybe it's associated with the glovebox area:dunno:
