Anyone know where I can find and purchase the wire that will allow me to hook up my Ipod Nano to the port in the center console on the 2008 Accord? I called the dealer parts counter and they said the part has not been put out yet and they did not have a part number. Seems strange you can't use this function yet. Please tell me where I can order one. This and the hands free and the navi is one of the features that I wanted when I bought this new car. Thanks.

The aux port? Isn't that just an ordinary aux wire? I have an iphone that i use with my 08 exl-v6. Imported the phone book via blue tooth even though it said no supported. As for the music part of it i just hook up an aux wire from my iphone to the aux in on the center console. Still have to control it through the iphone itself or the clicker on the wire.
Hope this helps,.

If your looking for a actually IPOD connector to control thru your radio, Honda is coming out with a new adapt in Jan 08, but who knows how good it will be, as the older one wasn't that great.
Its called "Honda Music Link"
Hope this helps also

Yeah, if you just want to hook up to the AUX port under the armrest then all you need is a $6 dual-male end stereo cable from Radio Shack or Wal-Mart.

interesting. 'cause I too thought the normal 3.5 mm, sometimes called mini-stereo cable would work. Hated to suggest it since I've never tried it (yet). Problem would seem to be getting one short enuff not to create clutter. Let us know!

yep that was a stupid question. At the time I had not looked at the jack to see what would fit. I had hoped it was some type of set up that powered the ipod as well so you don't always have to run on the battery.
Once I looked at it I just used the wire I have and use on one of my motorcyles when I play the ipod nano and run the output into the aux input on the stereo.
Sure wish these manufacturers would start doing some type of set up that let you load up a bunch of digital music like you do into your ipod but ont a chip and then you just slide the chip into the head unit and you have all the functions that an ipod has and the read out of all the data there on the screen of the headunit. Maybe this is already out there, anyone know?

new CTS's have an integrated 30gig HD w/ their respective tech pkg
the aftermarket HU mnftr's bought a clue about 2 years ago, and with Pioneer and Alpine ..most of their decks above 150$ have ipod interface capabilities.. I have a pioneer deck in my benz and the interface is flawless, quick, and you can roam around playlists/directories/options for the ipod with the rotary knob just as quick as using the ipod itself...the remote has a directional pad itself... I never have to look at the ipod and i can hide it away.
yeah, when I saw that aux port in my 8th gen, I was disappointed too, considering ive had the above Pioneer hu and ipod capability in my other car since Spring. having to plug the ipod in with a cigarette charge adapter and fish it out the middle console or tray inside the console to change songs or playlists ****s... I'll probably look into a remote of some sort to just change the ipod blindly, better than nothin. Maybe ill look into the Ipod integration cable when it becomes available, but honestly... considering what alpine and pioneer makes their respective cables for...the Honda ones should be 30-40$ tops...not 90-100$ :thumbsdow

I bought a retractable one on ebay pretty cheap. Also, I buy a lot of audio/video cables at monoprice.com, they have one there as well (6ft) for 1.70!

Funny you should mention the retractable one on ebay because I bought one of those too. Figure it will be alot cleaner instal and not take up as much room as the 3 foot one I have which stays coiled up in the console. I had alot more storage spots in the Ridgeline and getting used to making do with a smaller console and less storage cubbies. There is probably lots of "stuff" that I carry around that I probably don't need or hardlhy ever use. One thing that hit me when I was transferring my "stuff" over to this car frome the Ridgeline is a couple of paper maps that I had kept in the glove box. Guess with the Navi I don't need those any more. :)
