Greetings gents. Just bought some EP-R5 Silverstars w/ tires on eBay. The guy posted some good pics and has excellent feedback, so I feel OK about it.

Will they look good with my Desert Mist paint? They should match that gray bar in the grill atleast. When I get my tints it should tie it all together. I'll post some pics after Christmas.

Well they are used, but lightly. I paid $600 total. Wheels, tires, and shipping. I'm anxiously looking forward to their arrival!

Very nice, not sure if I like the gunmetal on the Desert Mist. Now to drop it!

I agree mnkyman, silverstars will look great on all colors. If you tint your windows and once you lower it I think it would look a lot better. It's really hard to get a feel for most aftermarket wheels on these cars at stock ride height. They all look kind of out of place somehow. Even with just a hfp drop it helps a lot. The oem gap is just a hair too big. I think the wheels will grow on you though, especially with the additions I listed. Give em a chance before you make up your mind for sure. Out of curiousity, how much did you pay for them?

"short" lug nuts needed?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've got some Silverstars coming I found on eBay. What kind of lug nuts will I need. I got some standard type chrome acorns already. Thay're maybe 3/16" longer than the ones that currently hold my steel wheels on, but are the same overall size. Will they work OK or will I need the "tuner" type?

Thanks in advance.

Looks good, but I think the ashy looking tires are throwing everyone off. Put some tire dressing on......black tires > *

I don't usually agree with tire dressing, but in this case, I think it would help make the rims stand out.

Don't drop the car, lets keep the ghetto look in the ghetto.

And all this time I thought you were buying headlights:lmao:

Just kidding. Actually, I think they look very good on the Desert Mist Accord.

Congrats.

how does dropping the car make it look ghetto? dropping has more advantages than looks.

the rims do look nice. btw, what size are those tires. for some reason, it seems like those tires have a bit too much sidewall..

Yeah those tires are a bit tall. They're 215/55/17s, but at what I paid I'm not complaining. I'll likely replace them with 225/50s when I wear them out, which may take 2-3 years. Tints are next.
