Well guys, the little amber light that turns on when you have your headlights turned on up near the homelink... Well it's working about half the time. It's been happening since I've owned the car. The thing is, every time you tap on it, it comes back on.
My question to you guru's is... ever have a problem with the lighting, wiring, shorts, open circuits?
Anyhow, thought I would ask before attempting to start diagnosing the concern. Thought this may be a more common problem.
Anyhow, any help is good help! Thanks!

Well, turns out I had fixed it!
Surely enough the pins that connect at the green connector, were loosing connection. The solder that connects these pins to the ribbon that then connects to the circuit board, were cracked and losing connection.
I had found this when I was checking ground resistance with a DMM (Digital multi-meter). I found it was losing connection when I would move the green connector (I had it all torn apart like in the pictures).
Anyhow... Here's a pic of what I found. (After the fix) Just in case someone else has the same problem... They know where to start looking.
Right where the screwdriver is, that's the part I saw the crack in the solder

This is the back side of that same circuit board

Good luck!

Wow, good fix. Thanks for sharing it.
How easy was the disassembly? Did it look easy to change the bulb? My brother has bothered me to try and switch that light to blue in his 05 since he got it.

VERY easy. Just need a 8mm socket, and a small screwdriver for prying.
