So I've been an XM subscriber since it first started and this the first time that I've had it built into my car. I used to have the other receivers and one of my favorite features was being able to have it let me know when a certain artist was on any of the stations. I checked out the owner's manual but didn't see anything about doing this in my Accord so I thought I might ask if anybody might have gotten this to work or if I'm just out of luck.
Thanks.

Same here - I had the Delphi Roady and liked that I could 'select' a song and then be notified when it came on at a later time. I don't think there's any such feature on the stock XM radios on the 08 Accords. :thumbsdow

Yeah, I didn't think there would be either but I thought I might ask. Sometimes people on here come up with these button combinations like holding down the seek button while having the key in the second position, and then starting cd number 3 on track number 8 but only with the air conditioner on while honking the horn. I thought something like that might save the artist for me. Ha!
The song alert feature sounds pretty neat.
On the 2008 Accords, I believe the TITLE button will give you the information you want. I'm not sure about the non-NAVI but when a song comes on, it should display song and then artist before going back to channel info. Tapping the TITLE button should change what info it "sits" on after the song starts.

Yeah, that's how the 07's are too....I just miss the song/artist memory thing.

That alert is a neat feature. Is there much else that is different between the add on XM receivers vs the Honda's factory one?

Overall, I think they are pretty much the same....you just have to figure out what buttons do what.
