Hi everyone,
Although I have been reading your posts for a while, this is the first time for me to post here.

My car
=====

04 Coupe LX
about 5300 miles

Tires: Bridgestone Turanza El-41 205/65R15

Last night (it's also raining so hard) while I was driving on I-24 (TN) my car had a flat tire (Right Front), and Honda roadside assistant came to swith the tire with spare tire.

In the morning I checked the tire, and it has a big hole at the side of tire. :(

My questions
==========

1. I understand that my tire can't be fixed, right?

2. Is it a good idea to replace only one tire? I think other tires are still looking good (only 5K).

3. Does my dealer have the tire (used or new)? Or I should go and buy

4. After I replace a tire, should I rotate all tires and do alignment?

I'm sorry for asking simple questions, but I don't know much about car :blush:

Thanks in advance!

1st Welcome to the forum kkdores !!

1. correct if the damage is on the sidewall and not in the tread.

2. Yes, with that mileage on your new tires you will be fine.

3. Yes and they may want too much, but if they have a take off(tires from a new vehicle that where removed to install custom wheels and tires). Will not hurt to ask after you shop at your local bridgestone supplier or online at www.tirerack.com.

4. no(waste of money) unless you slammed a curb or went off road ;)

Don't need to apologize all good ?'s ..... :thmsup:

Hmmmm....you're driving down a highway and the sidewall blows out??? Sounds to me like a manufacturing defect, fully covered under warranty.

I would talk to both Honda and a Bridgestone dealer about a free replacement before spending a penny....:mad:

And hey! Where did you get Honda Roadside Assistance from? Do you have the HondaCare extended warranty?

Inspector1,

thanks for the answers and the tirerack.com. I check the price, and it is $93 + shipping.. I think it is not bad, but I will try to shop around too.

Pairallel,

Yes, I just drove normally on the highway from work to home.

I might talk with them and ask about the cost if I have to pay.

The Honda Roadside Assistance is from the HondaCare extended warranty. It was a local Cross Country Motor Club.

I would say they were pretty quick and provided good service although it was raining so hard last night. :)

I'd say push Bridgestone to replace the tire, there's no reason for a tire to blow like that without shrapnel or anything.
