Well since I seem to have a few threads of products on DA (not affiliated to them simply passing along) I have decided to make a running thread..

Fist on the block are some chemicals the owner is asking people to make reasonable offers.. the prices listed are what he paid for them

I want one too but I'm concerned it won't hook up to my gas powered off brand pressure washer. The ones I've seen are for the Karcher electric model.

Side note: If those MF towels in the link above are decent that's quite a buy!

From HF or another company?

I was JUST referred to the Chemical Guys / smart Wax pump sprays (pic is below)... Have been told they work really well and better than the HF offering

That is like the one in the Wet Paint I sent you and works great. The ones from HF are extremely difficult to manage the amount of air going in them because they require an air bottle or compressor.....seems like it's always too much or too little.

very nice! too bad they aren't 15.90$ like they were fall of 07' ...shipping isn't the cheapest either... but still, compared to buying far inferior MF towels at B&M shops...this is a deal!

MC, sorry to be such an ignorant detailing idiot, but ... the 'multitude of uses' for the slide lock brush... what would be say 3 of those uses(especially with using the variable brush lock system, why not one set length brush?)..i have a few in mind, like for crevices between seats, and a few crannys here and there..but what makes the brushes indispensable and worth ordering ? i'm intrigued by your pics and want to order but need a bit more to go on...thanks!

yeah, $16 was a super steal... .. I would have spent my arse buying single towels of equal or less quality!!!
No worries..

Some of my uses I can think of:
Removal of wax from panel gaps
removal of wax from emblem edges/gaps
face of rims - perfect for the "lip" area and lug nut area
small (some time sensitive) areas of engine to brush in all purpose cleaner
Dust from interior vents

I tried another Autozone I had forgot about.. and imagine that... one bottle sitting in front of the line of Black Magic Engine Detailer .

They guys working insisted Black Magic now owned the formulation, I just shook my head and said...well I'd buy up all the CD-2 you had if it was around. Another employee overheard our conversation & came over, he guided me over a couple aisles away by where the choke/brake cleaners were, ...they were very tip-top shelf behind some other products, 4 more bottles ..all dusty as heck!

5 bottles total, 4.99$ a piece...score! thanks MCH for getting me to look into this product and also allowing me to find out about DetailingBliss (search on google for cd2 actually yielded a thread where you contributed)..its a great forum too!

A couple things you should know pior to usage

- cd2 is not an all in one - you will need to clean the bay prior to app
- cd2 is an acrylic based polymer so, use it like you would a sealant ie: surface must be clean and dry, do not allow surface to get wet prior to curing

on a newer car, 8th gen, a few months of ownership that Ive kept it pretty darn clean under the engine bay with 303 aerospace protectant (i know, not cheap lol...but it works well too & im buying in bulk the next go around) .... is a degreaser like Gunk needed ? ...would I be fine to apply the cd2 after a QD wipe and dry down session on the engine bay?

On the mercedes, im planning a nice gunk degrease session for it (being cognizant that there is a plastic debris/aero plate below to catch oil and muck so Ill remove that to let all the crap drip down to the ground)...after getting the car warmed up but not too hot ...leaving the engine bay shut 20 minutes after application...then a nice wipe down w/ terry cloth, and apply the CD2 ...let sit, and wipe that down slightly if any excess is seen or too much glistening is occurring for my liking.

thx again mch , i hope you don't get any more accumulation of snow this wknd, looks like flurrys and cold temps down here tomorrow.
