Hi there,

Since I have permission to post without pics here goes.

Our second car my wife and I ever owned is a 1995 Accord LX (first was an '89 civic hatchback). Since then I have had a '97 Civic and a '97 CR-V.

Since our baby arrived (she's six months today) I have lost my CR-V (now the babymobile) and am now driving my wife's Accord for my daily commute. I still get the V when it snows.

It's actually refreshing to be back in the Accord since I can drive it a lot faster.

I would like to post pics but have lost my last website as Apple's iTools are not free anymore.

Will there be anyway to upload pics here?

Or can anyone suggest another free web host?

I like the new site you have here Wardsweb. I hope it grows and you enjoy a lot of success with it.

Mike

I made your post it's own thread, as I would like everyone to have their own thread about their car(s).

As for uploading pics, I built the forums with this in mind so anyone may upload a pic direct from their computer. Just click on the browse button below the message box when you write your post.

I don't have a pic of my Accord yet so here's an attempt to post a pic of my CR-V (from a couple of years ago):

Are those the factory fog lights? I'm thinking about getting them fo my 'V.

Hi Tim,

Those are PIAA 1450 dichroic whites. I really wanted fogs in the bumper spaces because I thought they looked very cool. The only factory fogs available for the first gen CR-V were those big bug-eyed looking ones that to my were kind of ugly (JMHO - I'm sure they look great to others). They also stick up and out from the bumper and seem rather vulnerable to damage. The PIAAs are more subtle but cast a tremendous amount of light for their size.

The drawbacks? They were extremely expensive and will be nightmare when a bulb needs changing (though after five years this has not happened yet). They are fastened by both the double edge sticky tape (pad?) and a screw which is probably rusted through by now (lots of salt on Eastern Ontario roads in winter). And because of the tight space (which required some cutting of the bumper in the space, the light will literally have to be ripped out to replace the bulb.

Despite this, I love them. They are wired into the ignition so they greatly enhance the peripheral night vision with both low and high beams.

If you do some research you will find there are more lights like this now and you may find them more reasonably priced now.

Good luck with youor search and decision.

Mike
