Last week I noticed that my passenger side headlamp housing was not fitting properly within the fender of my 2008 accord coupe. The trailing upper edge of the housing is pushed in about an eighth of an inch, bad enough that you can see up into the fender. Also, the lower corner is applying pressure to the fender and my concern is that over time abrasion will wear through the paint. The orientation of the picture is awkward, but you can see the gap I am referring to.

Yesterday the dealer tried to adjust the headlamp housing and was not able to fix the problem. Apparently it cannot be adjusted and is properly installed. They checked two other coupes on the lot and noticed that they have the same problem. The dealer sent an email off to Honda this week, so we await an answer.

Does anyone else have this problem with thier coupe?

That is completely unacceptable. Please keep us posted, chrisl.

I checked my headlights this morning. They're pretty much flush with the fender all the way around but the ends are slightly recessed - but not as much as yours. I can't see under the fender at all.

i put on my slippers and went out to the ol' carport...exact same as Trip above, slight recess, but matched on both sides; def. not as extreme as what is seen in the posted pic...

def make sure the dealer addresses this...and keep us posted

The light assembly on my 08 I4 5M coupe are flush with the quarter panels, on both sides. (Canadian car)

See your dealer at once.

I get the feeling the assembly of your car was rushed due to the Christmas and new years holidays.
